With a name like Jordan Flight Club 80, you might expect this latest design from the Jumpman to fuse Air Jordan IV or V aesthetics with something from his high school days at Wilmington, North Carolina’s Emsley A. Laney. But instead of an obvious blue and gold tie in or a nod to the vulc-soled styles MJ was wearing at the time, the FLTCLB 80 is more like an updated Air Jordan III silhouette covered in the IV’s netting, all atop a new midsole tooling somewhere in between the two but with a decidedly modern twist.
