Air Jordan VIII “Bugs” – Dissected
Everyone’s favorite weekend special is here – a sneaker dissected into pieces, revealing the inner workings of our favorite shoes. Next up is the Air Jordan VIII in the Bugs colorway, which is pretty interesting choice considering the shoe is made of several layered parts, an inner neoprene bootie, and the signature straps on the upper. Another interesting piece to see is the cross-sectional of the midsole which reveals the embedded Air units inside sole. Flip through the gallery if you’re interested in sneaker anatomy and let us know if you’re surprised by anything you see.
10 years ago I would have said "WTF? Why?!". But since the build quality of J's are getting cheaper despite getting more expensive, I just don't care anymore. Rip them sonbitches up, I say.
yea you can see the cardboard insole...and if you look closely you can see the blood sweat and tears of the sweat shop workers.
These dissections are awesome. I'll be glad when they start putting a different foam on retro jordans. I'm only sure they could do something to make them more comfortable out of the box.
@airjordan1980 I played in these at the Drew League and they had great grip but that was the only pro. Cons, SMH, too long of a list. HORRIBLE
@airjordan1980 Dude get some better ball kicks please. I play ball as well, Jordans aint shit. They are outdated. Its plenty of things you can get cheaper or same price with better quality.
