Jordan Brand’s red hot summer continues after the release of the Air Jordan III “Fire Red” with this coming weekend’s Air Jordan V “Fire Red”. One of the OG Retro colorways, the signature was the last in designer Tinker Hatfield’s first three Air Jordans to don the red hue which appears at its finest on the midsole. Nothing quite encapsulated the classic Chicago look like this Air Jordan V did, where it skipped out on the patented 3M on the tongue that this sneaker was known for in lieu of an all black look while the smooth white upper left plenty of room for the red to catch people off guard. Nice, I'm in! At my age (29), I could care less about the quality of leather on a 160.00 shoe. I just want these as a throwback to my younger years in the 90's. as for the leather issue, I'll worry about that when it's time to accessorize them with suits for the weekly 9-5.
I can't tell if JB uses different grades of leather on the same shoe or a combination of leather and synthetic materials (look at the white/cement and fire red IIIs). That's nothing new for Nike, but it would be cool if JB was up front about it.
@Lusinmader you trippin, wearing these with a suit and shyt
@DugLast The reason for that is cause the leather on the 3s is tumbled vs the 5s which is smooth leather.
@NickBartzis plastic?? huh?
