Michael Jordan’s name being left off the varsity roster serves as inspiration for all High School hopefuls looking to make the team this time of year, but this particular fall we’ve been graced with the anticipation of the Air Jordan V “Laney” returning to store shelves. One of the first sneakers to take inspiration from a player’s history dating all the way back to High School, the shoe features a simple all white upper while royal accents on the tongue and midsole are offset by a bright varsity maize and black. Hit the click for more images of this upcoming Air Jordan 5 and if you can’t wait for its release in early November then bid on this pair today from wattsgoodie on eBay.

Which tubled leather quality takes the cake? 2011 retro Cardinal 7 or 2013 Retro 3 '88 or 2012 retro 9 Chicago or 2013 retro 5 Laney? Thoughts?
Damn, so we know they still produce tumbled leather, funny how they barely get the fucking hint and start using it again. I love the look of quality on these, just wish they'd use this leather on every 5 with a predominantly white color way, shit every retro should have this quality of leather since they make close to billions off us, the consumers..Too bad i won't be copping, since I don't like any kind of blue on my shoes. Don't know why I can't rock blue, guess different strokes for different folks...
They look amazing, quality of the tumbled leather too good, best quality 5 this year besides the Fear 5s so far.
Mann the Laney 5's are too beautiful!! If I do pass' its because I will be getting ready for the December releases like the Taxi 12's and The Banned 1's which I prefer a little bit more
no lie and i dont care what no one say, the tumbled leather is on par with the cardinal 7s. the cardinal 7s has some very good soft tumbled leather and i hope these do also
The tumbled leather is so nice! So much better than the crap leather/plastic on the Fire Reds, Grapes, etc.
@Sneakerhead4real is that bad or good?
@LUX09NC same quality if not better for quai 54s..
sweet!!!!...i wont be making the same mistake i did with the 2000's.only had one pair and rocked them till the soles literally came off.its been a long 13 year wait. #4pairsplease
@Sole_2_Sole indeed it is..i got the quai 54s a few years ago with tumbled leather..then this year i got the grapes and they look trash compared to the quai 54s
