CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 – 2006 vs. 2013 Comparison
The CLOT team are no strangers to working with the Nike Air Max 1. Before this year’s edition, they had already hit a home run on the model back in 2006 via the “Kiss of Death” pair. Shown here are their two takes on Tinker Hatfield’s 1987 masterpiece side by side. As you can see, they aren’t completely separate in terms of aesthetic choice, as both pairs put on an icy outsole with a barefoot graphic and a gridded insole. The 2006 pair of course went way left of field with its see-through toebox, a detail the 2013 iteration echoes just a little bit via that breathable Hyperfuse touch. the 2006 ones still give me the same chills I got the first time I saw em. And the first time I saw em was at the portland museum or art as a part of an exhibit on contemporary chinese design. THEM SHITS IS CRAZY
The 2013's are all hype you can't tell me that colour way would sell out without the clot logo on the back and a foot on the sole. The 06's though now they stand out even people who know nothing about air maxes will know you have something special.
Im diggin the 2006 joints way more as they are super creative. The 2013 joints are clean but they don't differ much from other airmax releases.
The logo on the right heel of the 2013 clots is the same as the one on the reverse laneys, wonder what thats about?
@KenDo it's shanghai city logo called Shen, AJ 5 that everyone called black laney truthfully it's part of shanghai ignite pack getting release on sept 29 china region only
You know I felt like I was the only one thinking that glad to see that I'm not the 2006 are just magic 2013 aren't bad but no where near as creative
