To the younger generation on only just recently got “exposed” to the Nike Air Flightposite – bask in true greatness. The “Carbon Fiber” Air Flightposite One was one of the rarest Nike Basketball kicks of the last generation, sought after feverishly by a select group of Nike fanatics who fell in love with Eric Avar’s unusual and compelling design ethos. The full carbon-fiber upper was a true marvel of concept and design, and since then these have popped up occasionally on eBay (by occasionally, we mean once a year at best), only obtainable from the strong grip of the seller with high, high dollars. News of a Retro release definitely run a bell, perhaps awakening some from years of hibernation from the sneaker game, and there’s a reason why its a contender in the category of “Most Anticpated 2014 Release” in our Readers Choice Poll. No release info just yet, but there’s a nice detailed gallery with some dynamic photography below, so take a look and let us know if these rank high in your must-haves for 2014.
It just goes to show, these days all these new so called sneaker heads are just hype-beasts, looking for someone famous or someone who really can be considered a "Sneaker Head" to like the shoe. Ya'll all are just a bunch of lames trying to be socially excepted. None of you need to make anymore posts for the rest of the year. I'm putting you rookies on restriction. FYI, all the real who know about these, look for a price tag of about $300 or right at it. At least I know now I can finally probably get me a pair. Thanks! Hype-Lames! (Let "Bow-wow rock em on 106 and park, then all of a sudden its camp time. Ya'll need to stop!)
Retro of da yr... Cmon man... 2014 isn't even here yet. All da Js comin, Melo 1.5s, kamikaze 1s... Tons of things comin other then flightposites... Good to see da flights come back tho. Non of dat exposed bullshit
Please sneakernews and other sites, please don't hype these up so much to the point folks be killing just to get em! Y'all actually raise the resell value of these kicks also! So keep it down a bit about these joints, because I want em. I was super young and couldn't afford em, so this time around I will do all I can to get em (legally, not foolishly)....
Nobody said they didn't like them, they just couldn't be the shoe of 2014 if the year isn't over and you haven't seen the rest of what's coming out. Nobody's a hypebeast if they don't genuinely like them, that's their choice and their problem.
@MarcWatson they all cant be gems my dude. I liked the eggplants, suns, fighter jets, metallic red's... There were a few others i didn't like but that's just my taste. Even though i think they weak i see people rocking them and they don't even look that bad. Still wont get em though. I paid $75 for my og pearls a couple months after release footlocker. That shit will never happen again. Not in my size any way or for that kind of price. So be happy they experimenting and looking new ways to make classics out of classics.
@qtbigwatts It's 2013 (soon to be 2014). EVERYONE has access to internet! Besides, they need to HYPE shoes up on their page to get hits. HIt's bring in advertisements and ads bring in money. The whole purpose of the sneaker blogs.
@JFresh_136 Nobody said its the shoe of the year. I was referring to all of the comments about the shoe. You should read the post again, and maybe the original "Question" because its clearly a question, and not a statement.
