There was no shortage of Nike posters depicting His Airness, Michael Jordan during the Chicago Bulls years. Iconic images like ‘Wings’ and the free-throw line jump are the kind of glossy paper you might expect to see when entering a serious fan’s residence. But even with the smaller retro cards Nike/Jordan Brand never put together a visual reference of the shoes themselves, so with the help of the familiar Futura Extra Bold Condensed, The Sneaker Bodega has filled that gap, charting the early Air Jordans’ greatest hits. They’ve captured the OG colorways for the first six models spread across four 18″x24″s, so click in to see each one and let us know which you’re ordering from The Sneaker Bodega.

these are pretty nice I would like to have the 4's and 5's on my wall my first pair of jays were the white cement 4's beautiful
Miss da dayz when signature shoes came out in only 4 or 5 cws... Now there's like 20+ cws & ID pairs... Side note: really hope da maroon 6s drop. Need 2 pair of those
@kevinjacques23 @sneakernews isn't middle left the og carmine 6?
@moose007 congrats, you had the first pair of fake jordans. lol jk (maybe) what did they look like and when did you have em?
@Elementkx they're just renderings. yeah some of the details are off but dope work overall
Feel u but if they drop the same colorways all the time these retros would be pointless. Still im looking forward to every 6 this year
When it comes to retros they came drop all kinds of cws they feel. I actually like different color scheme on classic shoes... Wat I'm talkin bout day in da day when da shoe initially comes on da market, it would b only 4 to 5 different color ways throughout da season then mayb a few more low top counterparts. Nowadayz when a new sneaker drops, u have countless cws & themed shoes to pick frum... Look how many cws of da Lebron 11 have dropped & its only be 3 months lol. Plus u wouldn have to make so many decisions & managing yo budget on kicks lol
I feel u on dat homie... Shit has gotten crazy when we were kids... I grew up wearin a lot of Js too. But also wore other Nike shoes & reeboks. As I got older I found myself wearin some asiscs & new balances here & there. Always been a kobe & Lebron shoe fan so been keepin up wit them fa a min. Been a foam fan since 97 so dam near cop every pair of those. So my collection is very diverse. But like u, still cop plenty Js, majority of my collection are Js & wear them when I can (Respect dudes fa tryin to keep their shoes prestige but wear ya shoes)... I'm 33, been collectin fa dam near 17 yrs now. And its jus crazy how things have changed since 2000- 2006... And how things have really changed in da last 4 to 5 yrs alone. Dam near every sat u have 2 to 3 new pair of kicks to choose frum
See me I only buy one brand of shoes and thats jordans. I been this way for so long and I mean since I was a kid at the age 5. I had other pairs of kicks coming up and thru out high school. Buti always wanted my collection of shoes to be nothing but jordans and the older I got I made it happen. Thats why I'm with the concept there using bcuz it gives me more reasons to stay in the game for long as I have been and im only 31. Its crazy when I think about it my last non related jordan sneaker was the nike air total package that dropped in 06. Since July 2006 I haven't brought any other brand of shoes.
Got ya and I hear ya. I think its a good and bad thing. Bad thing is its hard to get anything now especially when everything sellout so fast on any colorway. Good thing is nowadays I look forward to several colorways instead of the basic 4 or 5 colorways that we had back in the day. Definitely agree with u on all the QS, LS, ID's that we had over the past 6, 7 years which expand their catalog way too long. I dont worry about pricing anymore bcuz we live in an different era then we did 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 years and I know nothing stays the same. Even when the hype dies down shoes especially nike/jordan brand will still have pretty high prices. I understand the concept to all this bcuz its business and if it was booming like this 15 years ago they would have done it then.
Even as far back as da Lebron 2s, Jordan 17s, 18s, they werent alot of cws to pick & choose... Now u got GR's, QS's, Euro & asia only releases, themed shoes & ID wit all kinds of changing options.... Too many kicks to pick.. Wasnt too long ago when Js only dropped once a month & were 125 to 150.
