The first, and to this point only Air Jordan IX scheduled to release in 2014 is the ‘Birmingham Barons’ colorway. This one ties in with the timing of Michael Jordan’s first retirement, when he left the Chicago Bulls to play for the White Sox’ minor league system in hopes of hitting the Majors. Nike proceeded with the Air Jordan line and now we finally have this year that could have been the only four-peat of the modern era along with the colors MJ wore on the diamond that season. That first sealed the deal for me! Those look clean as hell! Aye tho if anyone can tell me the history behind those other 9's with those different names! Ex. Jonny killroy, Bentley ellis, etc. Where those name come from. And what's the story behind em!?
@DimirisBeRaw11 they were Jordan's alter-egos during a commercial series when he retired the first time...you can see them on youtube...the colors and names were based off those people
