Collections: Original Nike Agassi by The Tech Challenge Club

February 5th, 2014 by / 13 c

Andre Agassi’s Nike signature line is the most important tennis shoe series ever released. The Nike Tech Challenge lineage is the stuff of legends and now that Agassi is finally back with the Swoosh after a short time signed to adidas, we’re starting to get a thorough examination of this influential ‘rock & roll tennis’ period. Already in 2014, Nike Sportswear has retroed two of Andre’s first five signatures, but there is still so much more to be released, and we’re only getting to the outer edge of all the Tech Challenge line has to offer.

Angel Faceter’s ‘The Tech Challenge Club’ affirms the fact that most of the good stuff is still waiting in the vault by showing off one of the deepest Nike Agassi collections you’re ever going to see. His stash reaches as far back as an original 1989 womens Nike Air Tech Challenge II (a model that just retroed with more colorways to come), and the also includes the just-resurrected Air Tech Challenge Huarache among the glorious run of original releases (not to mention the retros and ATC-inspired NSW drops releasing this year). Click in to see a selection and let us know which is your favorite Nike Agassi shoe of all time.

this collection is soooo siick, real sneakerhead, real tennishead. love it.

this dude had some fresh ass shoes throughout his career.

Love them all.  I dont see many of them come up on ebay either sadly, but then again I'm usually only looking for my size of 11.5 to 12.  Managed to score a pair of the Challenge II LE (including LE tissue paper and tag) DS for about $100.  Midsole is starting to discolor and crack unfortunately like many of these.

Great compilation!

A pair of air alarm's would be nice, pair of air zoom challenge and a pair of the pounce. I remember those, sweet shoe

This is an incredible collection

I LOVE mid to late 90s shoes. Each pair looks like it has so much personality. I think that was the best time for sneakers of all sports.

Early 90s shoes are ok, but to me they sometimes look repetitive But I easily prefer these over any shoe released now a days.

All in all, 90s shoes are the best. And I grew up in that era, so i'm no kid
