The Nike Air Footscape Woven Motion has not an especially common shoe to this point in history. It came to us as part of that Bodega ‘Night Cat’ debut for the Woven ‘Scapes but has ceded almost entirely to the higher cut Chukka since. But pairs are coming for the summer, which chop off the Chukka’s elastic ankle for a breezier feel. This grey suede pair has perforations for breathability and a rainbow sherbet mix of Woven ribbons for an energetic look. Click in for more details and stick with Sneaker News for updates because these are hitting Japan in a little under two weeks.
Again, the title of the article for the product is wrong. Again, these aren't Chukkas.
The first instance of the Footscape Woven upper was as a low-cut runner with a 360 sole in a one-time-only release (in 2004, I think). Then came a couple more variations of that, as well as the Bodega low, before they added the ankle side panel to turn them into a chukka.
At any rate, these are among the most comfortable shoes you're ever likely to lace up. My Bodega black cats always draw questions and compliments, too. Definitely head-turning kicks that you don't see every day.
