When Nike introduced Air Max2 in 1994, they were looking to invigorate the most popular exposed cushioning platform in the world, but they had no idea it would evolve into this. Here’s the new Nike Air Max Uptempo ZM, a bit of a curious name for a model that takes the classic AM2 Uptempo and replaces it with the fullest manifestation of the Zoom Air technology that back then was just about to be debuted as ‘Tensile’. It fits so well that the uninitiated will recognize the silhouette and assume it’s a Max Air bag, and this Anthracite and Volt combo is one of those colorways that’s just as hot now as it was in the mid-90s. Uhmmmn, SneakerNews, this is NOT a Visible tensile Zoom Air bag in the same vein as the Lebron X / KD VI Elites.... This is, in fact, a full length Air Max bag. sigh. shoddy sneaker reporting....
This was one of my all time favorites from back in the day. I remember them coming out right before the tournament. Would like to see this new revamped design with an icy sole and the original colors.
maybe i don't know my nike tech as well as i'd like to think i do........ but isn't that a full length AIR MAX sole (i.e. lebron 10 low), and not an exposed ZOOM AIR sole (i.e. lebron 10 high)?? someone (reputable) please enlighten me if i'm wrong...?
@greghall024 I was about to say the same thing. I mean, if you look closely at the side profile it reads, "AIR MAX 360"
@greghall024 It is the regular air max 360. The Lebron X was completely different and this is different from the running shoe as well. It is meant for the bigger players that need more impact support.
