In addition to all the MRL996 pairs with the updated REVlite midsole, the New Balance 996 has been experimenting with some new presentations following its 25th birthday last year. Early in 2014, we’ve had the ‘National Parks’ pairs show off new blocking configurations and ticked laces, both of which are themes impacting the look of this newest black suede pair. These joints have a crisp contrast against white mesh but the details that really make this design are the red laces with green and yellow ticks, the golden brown leather ‘N’ and heel tab and that speckled ENCAP wedge at the heel.
