…and it will be none other than Russell Westbrook to be the man behind the on-court appearance. In this teaser video called “Tailored For Flight”, Jordan Brand drops some major hints regarding the overall design inspiration of the Air Jordan XX9, and it’s clear that high-end tailored suits will be a major focal point when the shoe is officially unveiled this Thursday. Stay tuned to Sneaker News for a first look this Thursday at the Air Jordan XX9 event, and be sure to catch the full video after the jump.
Dope commercial/teaser, glad JB is focusing more on the marketing on this release so it builds excitement and anticipation
Interesting, and since Russell was the main man wearing them they may be slightly geared to him, performance wise.
Yes. The Kobe 9 is definitely the better shoe to have at this moment, but like already stated that XX8 comfort is in a class of its own. Pumped for the XX9 myself, i hope we have one of those jordan XI moments when the world first got a glimpse. Or to make it a more modern uproar, the loss of Undertakers streak at WM30 lol.
I know the new Jordan's are geared more towards performance then design but I do hope they put more into the overall style of the shoe as well as comfort and performance I personally have'nt liked the look of a new Jordan since the 23 but I still can't wait to see what the 29's are gonna look like
@aftabimark9 Based on the video, looks more like suede (hopefully!)
@airy_pott23r I was a senior in high school when the XI came out and I was like wow. I want to beat that kid up for his shoes. I am glad Tinker convinced Nike to continue on with the line after number 9.
Right now my new favorite shoe and I'm always excited to see new color ways in is the Kobe 9s. XX9s needs to top Kobe 9s for me. That being said all nike has to do is out a limited edition label on it they will sellout immediately anyway lol
@saralee I love the Kobe 9 but it isn't near the performance of the Jordan XX8. The XX9 looks like it will take more of a luxury look like the 14-23 did.
Agreed. Either way I can't wait to see what they come up with and hopefully they won't cheat GS sizes out like that they did with the xx8s. Only one colorway came out in GS sizes.
