Complex’s Quickstrike Returns for Its Third Season
Complex’s Quickstrike sneaker show is back for its third season. Which means that footwear elder-statesmen DJ Clark Kent and Russ Bengtson are back to give their opinions on the biggest of stories that show up on the sneaker newswire. Making up for lost time a little bit, the duo starts things off with a discussion on the 2015 remastered Air Jordans, which turns to a more general discussion on the always rising cost of this little hobby. See the video with us after the break and keep it locked on Sneaker News for the latest episodes of Quickstrike from Complex Sneakers.
Its not only about the upper, Jordan also needs to reinforce the outsole so that a skid or 2 won't leave your outsole melted!
Hilariously, the leather used on those AJ IV "Oreo" is the same as the ones of a pair of Nike AF1's I have. Its fake leather to set an illusion of real leather. Jordan brand knows that people don't or will never play basketball in some retros anymore; so they don't put quality into 'em. Which brings an interesting discussion of this: http://www.sneakerfiles.com/2011/04/02/discussion-performance-vs-casual/
@"C.E.O." the Oreo IV's are probably the highest quality Jordan's ever made and the Leather is some of the nicest leather that Ive Ever seen! Definitely NOT fake leather! I find it ridiculously funny that ur comparing a pair of the nicest Jordan's Ever made to a pair of AF1s! The only quality AF1s are the Bespoke that are made with the Euphoria Nubuck.
