A few of the original Air Jordan 13 pairs had some reflective, 3M treatment sprinkled in, but we’ve never seen the material used to this degree on a pair. Pictured here is a 2014 release for that silhouette that drapes the upper in reflective material. It’s certainly reminiscent of previously released “Elements Series” pairs oriented towards the Jordan 5 that did the same, but they lack the clear sole to cement that connection. Find extra photos on the Jordan 13 “3M” below and watch for them to release on Saturday, October 4th.
Air Jordan 13 “3M”
Release Date: 10/04/14
Well the reason why these sneaks cost in the $250 range is because the buying power of the dollar has dropped.
Should of used .1% of the 3m on these pieces of shit and put em on a classic colorway such as the bred 13's
They're awesome....if you like shoes that crease up with each & every step. That said, they LOOK cool. Sadly, that's all most folks care about these days. Craftsmanship & material quality mean next to nothing to people now, because these younger guys have never known what a quality sneaker is...unless they collect OG's. Pleather & synthetics are what they expect...so they buy buy buy. If they'd only pick up a retro runner collaboration from Puma, Saucony, Asics, Pony, etc or something like the Way Of Wade 2.0, they'd INSTANTLY realize how bad these Jordan retros really are. It's sad when a cheap, synthetic material that isn't even suitable for sneaker construction is billed as being "Premium". There's NOTHING premium about this shoe. There's a place for this type of shoe, as "collecting" sneakers becomes more and more popular...but that's what these are...a COLLECTOR'S shoe. They really aren't suitable to wear. The creasing really is an issue here, just like it's an issue on the 5lab3 colorways. ...and while some folks will counter this argument with a statement like "All shoes are gonna crease", I know that a high quality leather actually looks pretty cool once it's "worn-in". That nice worn-in look will NEVER come about with these synthetic shoes. The materials just look worse & worse with each and every wear. Jordan Brand should focus on delivering us QUALITY products that feature nice leather/nubuck/suede and top notch build quality...ON EVERY RELEASE...but they're never going to. Not as long as the garbage they've been giving us keeps selling out in 20 minutes every Saturday. The 2015 remastered retros can't get here soon enough....but they're gonna command a drastic price increase. I'm thinking most of them will be in the $250 neighborhood, like the Brazil & History Of Jordan VI's. I don't care about the price, though....I'm fine with them charging $250-$275 per pair. As long as the shoes are made with decent materials again, I'll pay the $250. I want to actually wear my shoes...instead of pulling them outta their box once in a while to look at them...or put them on my feet for 5 minutes to "stunt" on instagram.
Dude, relax. No where in the article/description does this shoe claim to be premium....and if you just take care of your Js and not go roughhousing and bullfighting and doing all types of crazy shit in them, they're all totally wearable, for a long damn time.
not the biggest fan of 13's but i like the 3m treatment. depends on how much money i spend in september if i pick these up or not.
I'm on it! 13 is my favorite model. I guess my 5 years of not buying J's will be over on October 4th. The colorway is dope and the 3m is a plus.
hmmm interesting... i may have to sell my "he got game" for these....those are the only 13s i have and barely wear em
@kshaun12 You sure you wanna do that? "He Got Games" are a classic, OG colorway. They'll be appreciated and worth more than these...trendy "things. These are a straight gimmick.
I generally don't even like jordan 13's simply because i think they're too bulky but i like these. The 3M treatment causes wrinkles but these have an undeniable dopeness to them, I might consider copping as my first 13s. Hopefully they won't be too much $$$.
@AidanMM you don't like 13s because of the way they look... but you like THESE because they're "flashy" with the 3m. it seems you're in it for just the attention...
Well i said usually i dont but even a bad model with a good colorway is a good shoe and arent we all in it a little for the attention
@JackSpain Why does it matter? it's a freakin' shoe. You wear it, your toes bend when you walk. isn't that what shoes are meant to do?
Sneakers are gonna crease no matter what unless you never wear them and plan on dying with a closet filled with deadstocl sneakers
@youstinky my bad, didn't mean to offend you with my opinion homie! Uh it matters but maybe I don't want to pay premium prices for a shoe to crease after one wear. See 5Lab3
It matters a lot. Especially if you pay a premium for lower quality materials. Would you wear clean clothes with dirty kicks? You end up looking nummy even though you are clean. Certain materials are an exception like good quality leather because you can do something about the way it looks and forms to your foot. It rebounds really we'll because of its organic nature. This synthetic 3m stuff creates these hard lines & angles that in time cracks then breaks. Idk how they ok'd this leaving the lab after testing. Besides its aesthetically pleasing nature.
@BNERDPRODUCTION I know shoes will crease, hell even my damn Hugo Boss loafers are creased but shit I'm looking to buy a shoe that creases on the first wear! That's my point of the comment I made
