The 35 Best Nike KD Releases In History
It’s hard to ignore all the chatter going on regarding Kevin Durant’s undecided allegiance to a sneaker brand. It’s still a tug-of-war of sorts between Nike and Under Armour, a brand that has rapidly emerged as a possible front-runner in the KD sweepstakes thanks to their deep pockets and DC headquarters. Nothing regarding Durant’s decision has been confirmed yet, although there are small tidbits of info that may or may not reveal what the defending NBA MVP has his heart set on. Regardless of whether Kevin re-ups with Nike or begins a new era at Under Armour, his tenure with the Swoosh has been a memorable one for many reasons – his sneakers being one of them.
The Nike KD signature line has evolved before our eyes, starting from a relatively bargain-priced selection to perhaps the most popular sig shoe on the planet. The recently unveiled KD 7 only added to the momentum, but soon enough we’ll discover if that forward movement comes to a complete halt or continues strong without skipping a beat. In any case, we’ve decided to take a look back at the Nike KD legacy and pick out the thirty-five best in history, in order since 2007. Check out the list below, and stay tuned to Sneaker News for the very latest developments on the KD saga.
I don't really get all the Nike KD hype! I think compared to the Kobe and Lebron lines, which have brought us some amazing sneakers, the KDs are really weak.
KD 4 was best model ...everything before was trash and everything after was trash... the 7s have em back on track tho
Could you guys, SNEAKERNEWS, give us the option of choosing "full site", because I hate this mobile site. Plus it's so slow to load compared to the full/desktop version.
Danggggggg.... I thought @sneakernews fixed this half page crap! I guess it's only on segments that have more then one (1) page. Only one side is viewable... I wish they would have just left it like it was! This mobile joint ain't curing it.
I like how there are two shoes per page on this article. If the descriptions per shoe are not long enough, stick to this format.
KD II was aiight. The KD II was raw and had an old school appeal to it! KD III trash, KD IV nice design but uncomfortable... Very overrated because of colorways! KD V was nice to rock and was great for hooping... kind of underrated. KD VI was fire, because it came in the game different and did numbers... rated correctly as far as in the community. KD VII will be legendary, great design, performs great, and one of the most comfortable basketball shoes to date!... Maybe it's the last Nike KD, that's going to make it even better
@goatman186 YEAH THOSE WERE SO NICE DAMN. or the gold collection too.
Also on the menu bar you can't select anything, but Jordan releases. Terrible... This morning the mobile joint is gone so let's see how long they before they throw it back up. Hopefully it'll be fixed or they don't bring it back at all
It's terrible bro! In trying to give them a chance on getting it right, but after next week if this is still like this I'm done! I will stay with just SoleCollector and Detroit Sneaker Bar
@valdeaunia i wish it was all just one page to scroll through, site is slow for me
@qtbigwatts KD III trash? One of the best performance shoes imo
@brickard21300 dumbass of the week award
I know bro, we done chopped it up enough for me to know that. I'm the same way, but I coach my son's basketball team so sometime I do purchase for performance reasons. 97.9% of my purchases is for fashion, but I do buy for comfortability every time I buy. I don't want to walk around with a stiff shoe! With that said I believe that the KD IV was/is overhyped, yes it is a great looking shoe but the zoom unit is really nonexistent and the cushion overall sucked! It felt like a late 80's early 90's setup! I want good looking shoes, but I prioritize comfort because I have two fake knees.
@brickard21300 youre not a dumbass cause you like the 6, youre a dumbass because he said the 4s
