Footaction really hit the right nerve in the sneaker community when they opened Flight 23 in New York City earlier this year. And with plans to expand that model to Chicago and other destinations in the near future, Jordan-specific brick and mortars are certainly a visible business model. However, though, one thing Flight 23 doesn’t do is play to the purist of Jordan heritage. Artwork, memorabilia, original sneakers, all things that true Jordan aficionados not only want to see, but want to explore further. You may remember Calvan Fowler from when he was filming a Jordan documentary in years past called “Jordan Heads,” produced by Michael Rapaport. Now Calvan has used that inspiration to open his own Jordan-centric sneaker boutique in MJ’s hometown of Brooklyn, located on Malcolm X. in the place called “The Planet,”, and the space features a wide assortment of rare sneakers, apparel, posters, magazines, and all things His Airness inspired. The grand opening for the new space is today, October 23rd, so if you’re in Brooklyn and in need of some nostalgia, swing by Jordan Heads to help ensure great cultural spots such as this one thrive.
