adidas x Kanye West is somewhat disappointing

With all the hype surrounding the unveiling, are we setting ourselves up for disappointment? There’s no doubt that what the designer and brand have in store is nothing like they’ve done before, but it’s human nature that will be dissatisfied with it simply because of the hype.

Emergence of “Team Kobe”

Not that Nike will ever bill a group of athletes as Team Kobe, but with the Black Mamba sitting out for a bit, look out for some NBA players to be blessed with the Kobe 10. We’ve already seen Wesley Johnson and Jodie Meeks in the shoes, and we expect Nick Young and a few others to rock the 10s throughout the remainder of the season.

adidas makes the most noise at All-Star Weekend

The launch of Kanye and a rumored performance by ‘Ye and Pharrell at Barclay’s Center has adidas poised for a ton of attention at this key moment. It’ll be an all-out slugfest in regards to the brands doing what they can to grab the most real estate in NYC.

Nike Basketball will officially unveil the HyperChase and the HyperRev 2015 at the 2015 NBA All-Star Game. Announcement of Asics TIGER brings larger domestic presence

There were only a select number of Asics accounts in the U.S., but that’s been changing quite a bit over the years. Now, chain retailers are carrying in-line models of the Gel Lyte III, and the brand itself just launched their Asics TIGER line, which is somewhat of a parallel to Nike Sportswear, adidas Originals, and so on. Could an Asics TIGER standalone store be in the works?

Jordan Retros Continue to Sit On Shelves

There are a lot of Jordans to be had this month, and not one of them has that “must-have” appeal to them. Not to say that people won’t be after them, but we expect the Broadway 10s, Oreo 4s, Stealth 20s, and the others to sit on the shelves for a bit before finally clearing out.
