Scotland’s hanon teams up with Le Coq Sportif to celebrate the French sportswear brand’s rich history with this special collaborative edition of the R1000. Le Coq Sportif’s humble beginnings dating all the way back to 1882 when the brand was founded as a knitted cotton apparel line are the inspiration for the shoe’s premium look. The intent of the colorway and materials for the R1000 were to reproduce the look of vintage sportswear, with a plush cotton jersey material for the lining and tongue while the rest of the upper is constructed with pigskin nubuck and mesh in brick red and bright orange. Further premium detailing includes jersey-inspired laces, a nubuck tongue patch, bar tack stitch detail and a laminated calfskin footbed. The hanon x Le Coq Sportif R1000 will release on December 5th exclusively at hanon.
