For years NBA fans have been proudly rocking #23 on their jerseys, but Kobe Bryant burst onto the scene with an unusual jersey number selection that has become synonymous with his career – even if he stopped wearing it nearly a decade ago. This upcoming Nike Kobe 11 release honors that transition of 8 to the new 24 by featuring both numbers in signature Lakers typefont on the heel, but the overall colorway stays true to Los Angeles purple. We should certainly expect more tributes in sneaker form as we await the official commencement of the Kobe 11 lifecycle, so get a first detailed look at this upcoming release and we’ll let you know when it officially hits stores.

Going on Saturday to get the Achilles heel. If I don't get it, then I'll probably wait for some other nice colour ways.

Nike could've put 8 on 1 shoe and 24 on the other shoe. It doesn't take a genius to figure that the back heel would've appeared better looking than the 8:24
