Concepts And Nike Team Up For A Color-Changing Collaboration

Concepts Nike Free Trainer 1.0 7

Concepts boasts a firm reputation as being one of the best store collaborators in the game. The minds behind the Cambridge-based shop have impeccable taste when it comes to coloring up a pair of retro runners, as seen with previous blockbusters like the New Balance 999 “Kennedy” and more recent affairs like the “Coca” GEL-Respector from ASICS. For its first collaboration of 2016 (and we do expect a ton from them this year), Concepts is teaming up with Nike on a footwear model that speaks to the shop’s “outdoor” origins as a retail destination for skate and snow sports. Using thermal reactive materials that shift colors when exposed to heat, the Concepts x Nike Free Trainer 1.0 combines the store’s classy take on shoe colorways with the rugged yet refined performance of this new performance sneaker. This high-powered release is exclusive to Concepts worldwide and will release this Saturday, January 16th. All shoes come with special box packaging, the Concepts logo on the tongue, and flag detailing on the heel. Grab a detailed look below.
