Packer Shoes takes some inspiration from the streets for their upcoming collaborative edition of the Phase 1 Pro for Reebok’s Year of Court. Inspired by the fact that the 1985 tennis sneaker was a big seller for Packer Shoes in their Yonkers location for street hustlers, the East Coast sneaker shop constructs the clean silhouette in a premium blend of black garment leather with croc-embossed white leather on the tongues and heel tabs. Further referencing the days when stylish street hustler fashion was dominated by black leather and gold chains, the shoe also features faux gold accents on the lace tips and nameplate-inspired Packer-branded lace dubraes. It’s all finished with one final essential detail: gum rubber outsoles. The Phase 1 Pro “Corner ’85” will release Friday, May 13th, in-store at both Packer locations and online at PackerShoes.com for a retail price of $110.
