Pharrell And adidas To Release A Crazy BYW “Chinese New Year”

Pharrell And adidas To Release A Crazy BYW “Chinese New Year”

Few collaborative pairings in the world of sneakers can lay claim to as many successful releases as the distinguished partnership shared between the music industry multi-hyphenate Pharrell Williams and the heavy hitting industry stalwart adidas. Highlighted, of course, by their first few sets of adidas NMD Hu models, this top-flight duo has expanded their reach far past the NMD, dressing up other models the likes of the Crazy BYW you see here, while also forming new silhouettes the likes of the Tennis Hu and the Solar Hu. Now, just in time for the Chinese New Year, Skateboard P and the Three Stripes are adding a traditional red and golden yellow Chinese color scheme to the basketball-inspired Crazy BYW.

Like all of this team’s projects, peace and positivity take center stage, with “AMBITION” boldly printed on this iteration’s forefoot. For an extra special CNY-friendly touch, this BYW’s upper sees a dragon scale-like pattern embroidered into its Primeknit upper, while a stark white BOOST-laden heel piece adds a touch of needed contrast in an effort to neutralize the flashy design. With official images of this collaborative BYW available below and the Chinese New Year fast approaching, avid Pharrell x adidas fans can expect a release toward the end of this month or the beginning on next.
