The Nike Air Max 90 has seen no shortage of releases throughout 2020, as was expected given that the start of the new decade marked its 30th Anniversary. An upcoming iteration, however, introduces a couple of new details to the beloved silhouette atop an understated color palette.
Suede underlays across the forefoot and midfoot indulge in “Enigma Stone”, and are wedged between an “Off Noir” toe box and TPU eye-stays and an “Iron Grey” digital camouflage pattern. The military-inspired detail also takes over the tongue, which ostensibly mimics Off-White‘s design approach with its exposed foam arrangement. Profile swooshes. mudguards, and branding on the heel further indulge in shades of grey, with the leather overlay along the sidewalls revealing silver “AIR MAX” logos stamped onto the aforementioned faded brown. Furthermore, lateral mudguards feature text denoting the contents of the polyurethane (PU) Airbag underfoot, an accent uncommon to the silhouette. EVA foam midsole opt for a “White” composition, while cassettes and waffle-outsoles deliver stark black contrast.
An official release date is still unknown, but this Air Max 90 is likely to launch on Nike.com before the year ends. Until then, enjoy images of the pair here below.
