Air Jordan 1 AJKO Retro – White – Varsity Red – Black – New Images

Amidst all the Jordan Retro heat set to drop in 2010, the Air Jordan 1 AJKO might fall between the cracks. It’s not necessarily part of the Air Jordan I-XX3Legacy, and many younger Jordan collectors today may not readily recognize it in a line-up, but it still is old-school heat. Here are additional images of the AJKO in the original White/Varsity Red-Black colourway but with vintage treatment; the aged midsoles and bottom soles is used to give these the certified retro look, although many might not be keen to it. Both the massive midsole and framed side panel are just shy of blue-black, and the simple contrast with the white tumbled leahter sections is quite appealing. Among all the Air Jordan fusions/hybrids that have released over the last few years, the Air Jordan Icons stands alone in that Michael Jordan never wore the kicks that the Icons was inspired by – the Air Jordan XX and Air Jordan XX3. Here’s a look at the oft-used, iconic UNC colourway of White and University Blue on the Air Jordan Icons. The University Blue color-blocking steals the spotlight, as it is featured on the inner lining, delicate pattern on the side panels, midsole, and the IPS cushioning on the sole. Michael Jordan’s signature is often displayed in subtle ways on Air Jordan sneakers. The Air Jordan XX3 might be the best example, with its black and red edition sporting multitudes of the signatures laser etched on the toebox, plus the side panels that blend MJ’s flowy John Hancock with UNC’s signature argyle pattern.

Those kicks and two other heavyweights from the Jordan legacy are pictured above with Upper Deck-endorsed signatures. Let’s take another close-up look at one of the upcoming Air Jordan Icons colourways. This one is covered in a black mix of buttery smooth leather and nubuck, the latter of which is perforated and covered in flowy Air Jordan XX3 style white embroidery. The white outsole isn’t going to stay clean unless you play indoors, but that’s the best place to utilize the IPS traction pods anyway. Air Jordan Silver Anniversary White Collection – Part 3

There’s always something about looking at stuff we can’t buy. Window shopping is a bitter sweet thing because although there’s a sense of knowing we might never get our hands on something, we love to daydream of how great it would be to have possession of ‘em. Like the White/Red Collection on view at Niketown NYC, that’s what it’s like when viewing the Silver Anniversary Collection. If you haven’t caught on, the selection of shoes released in each set aren’t random. It’s going by roman numeral suffix order. First it was all Jay’s ending in I, then II, and now we get the third treatment. Ergo a white silver edition of the Jordan III, VIII, XIII XIX and XX3. Though many Jordan purists give more love to the earlier models, even the 19 and 23 look crispy. The next 5 are shortly to come. via Jumpman23

We saw catalog images of the new Air Jordan Icons a while ago, and more recently got a look at the black and red pair set for a March 2010 release. This is our first up-close look at the new shoe that seems to be a combination of elements from Air Jordans XX and XX3. The AJXX’s tooling and IPS traction system are unmistakable, as is the flowing side panel embroidery that splits the difference between an argyle pattern and MJ’s own signature. Air Jordan VIII (8) Low – Jared Jeffries Home PE

While Jared Jeffries and the New York Knicks may be off to another lackluster start this season, Jared’s Air Jordan PE game is officially in overdrive. We’ve recently shown you some of Jared Jeffries’ fresh personalized Jordan kicks like the XX3 Low, as well as home and away colorways of the Air Jordan V. Now, we bring you a look at another perk of his Air Jordan affiliation, the Air Jordan VIII Low in a home Knicks color scheme. The shoe sports a White leather upper with a section of Grey on the heel and splashes of Royal and Orange on the midsole and outsole. As with many of his other PE’s Jeffries’ number 20 is stitched into the heel. If you’re a Knicks fan struggling to get through another rough season, maybe these kicks can brighten your day a little. Air Jordan V (5) – Jared Jeffries Away PE

New York Knicks forward, Jared Jeffries hasn’t exactly been setting the league ablaze with his play this year. The Knicks are off to a 1-9 start, and despite a lack of substantial playing time in that stretch, Jeffries has been making some noise with his kicks instead. Despite the struggles of Jeffries and his team, he still has his Air Jordan PE’s to take consolation in. Last week, we gave you a look at a fresh pair of Air Jordan XX3 PE’s created for Jeffries, and now we turn our attention to a personalized Air Jordan V well-suited for Knicks away games. The shoe sports a Black nubuck upper with the traditional Red and Silver accents replaced with some touches of Blue Ribbon and Orange Flash (although it looks more Red in these photos).
