Ronnie Fieg x Culture Shoq x Asics Gel Lyte III

The ongoing collaboration between Asics and Ronnie Fieg has proven to be a Legion of Doom-level tag team.  Among the best collabo series, the man from David Z is back with the Onitsuka Tiger for another hot new Asics Gel Lyte III.  They’ve once again expanded to a trio with the inclusion of Culture Shoq, who saw another Feig x Asics Gel Lyte III release last year as part of the Trilogy Project.  The new joints also feature purple accents, but are considerably heavier on the black for a nice change of pace.  Check out more shots after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for a release date.

Collections: Arman Marwah Limited Edition Feet

While our love for sneakers may stand firm, all sneakerheads at some point or another make the heartrending decision to liquidate their sneaker collections, whittling down the amassed kicks to a mere 15 or 20 pairs that they hold dear to their hearts. Such is the case for Arman Marwah, a sneakerhead born from an Indian father and Caucasian mother and born and raised in Hong Kong. Arman moved to New York at the age of sixteen, and it was there he got to fully explore his sneakerhead potential – NYC is one of the most well-documented sneaker hot-spots in the universe. Unfortunately, Arman’s passion for the “game” had waned, and he’s amidst a fire sale of his most limited kicks such as the Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Low, A.R.C. x Asics Gel Lyte III, Mad Hectic x New Balance MT580, and many others – and he’s even set up a blog just to sell ‘em. Arman’s got quite an eclectic taste as he doesn’t seem to heavily favor one label, so check out some of what he’s got for sale and head on over to Sneaker Freaker for the entire feature.

Slam Jam x Asics Gel Lyte III New Images

Asics continues its long-lived tradition of collaborating with European sneaker shops – Italy’s Slam Jam in this case – by creating this beautfully color-blocked pair of the Asics Gel Lyte III. We first showed this collaboration in early July but this second look reveals the truer colors of the shoe; at first, these appeared to be brown, but proper daylight has revealed the light-grey and white upper with the sick white-red gradient on the midsole. Slam Jam’s collaborations with big-name sneaker labels in the past – the Nike Air Force 1 for example – have been huge hits, and this upcoming Gel Lyte III with accompanying matching socks should be a huge hit in Europe as well. Check out the detailed shots after the jump and let us know what you think of the colorway. via S&M.

Asics Gel Lyte III + GT II Spring/Summer 2011

We’ve seen a wide range of collaborations from Asics in recent months.  Ranging from Japan’s mita sneakers to Italy’s Slam Jam and back to the good old U-S-and-A with Ronnie Fieg, these tag team efforts have all been dope in their own ways.  You might be wondering what the Onitsuka Tiger’s in-house designers have been up to, and your answer is here in the form of a preview of Asics’ Spring/Summer 2011 run of Gel Lyte III and GT II retro runners.  Click the jump below to see a range of colorways from both that ascribe to the current trend towards simplistic palettes and colorblocking and stick with Sneaker News for updates on upcoming Asics releases.  via FNG

Asics Gel Lyte III White Medieval Blue Red

These days, Asics has been all about the collaboration, as the last few Asics released covered by Sneaker News featured partnerships with mita, Las Tres Z.Z.Z. and 24 Kilates, and Slam Jam. This new colorway doesn’t need a big-name partner to give it a boost, as this clean white/blue/red colorway with a mix of suede and shiny mesh can stand proud on its own. The upper is predominantly white and blue with red taking part on the split tongue and ankle collar as well as the Gel Lyte III branding on the heel. These Asics just dropped at Schuh-You so cop your pair now.

Mita x Asics Gel Lyte III Far East Tokyo Ueno | October 2010

Japanese sneaker staple Mita has a heralded history of great sneaker collaborations with Nike, New Balance, Reebok, and others. Asics can also be added to that list, but this definitely isn’t Mita’s first go with them let alone the Gel Lyte III. Arriving in October 2010 is a Mita x Asics Gel Lyte III with an all-black luxurious upper combining leather and nylon. The insole features a special cheetah-print like graphic with Far East Tokyo Ueno printed inside. A minor contrast to the colorways of the last Mita x Asics Gel Lyte III titled the Kirimomi Project, which featured blue and purple trims with use of patent leather. You can expect these to drop this October. via HS.

Slam Jam x Asics Gel Lyte III First Look

Their ‘Optical Force’ Nike Air Force 1 for the 1World project a couple years ago was as crazy as they came, with crinkled patent leather foreshadowing today’s monochromatic trends, and Italian store Slam Jam is back with another sneaker collaboration.  The Slam Jam x Asics Gel Lyte III takes an entirely different route, blending teal and red accents by way of a largely grey suede and mesh design.  The speckled laces finish off what is quite an intersting look despite how simple it is ‘on paper’, so click the jump below for more shots and stick with Sneaker News for updates on their release.  via HS

Asics Gel Lyte III Lavender White Orange

If you’ve fallen for our conditioning experiment, the word “Asics runner” should have you salivating at the mouth like a dog at the thought of a scantily clad woman. Alright, so it wasn’t a Pavlovian experiment, but the last few Asics colorways we’ve seen just happened to be on the feet of some gorgeous women. But this time we’re looking at the just the shoes (and we’re sure the person wearing them is a dude); this new Asics Gel Lyte III colorway of lavender, a citrus orange, and white features a summery mix of refreshing sherbet colors. Check out the images after the jump and watch for these to hit Asics retailers soon. via shoes-up.

Asics Gel Lyte III Pendant by Gabriel Urist

If there’s a Michael Jordan of street-level pendant design, it’s Gabriel Urist.  Urist just did a piece that’s probably even cooler than his peppermint Altoids, crafting a 1 of 1 Asics Gel Lyte III for frequent Asics collaborator Ronnie Fieg.  Fieg received the necklace as a birthday gift from his photographer Sean Quincy, and the black metallic sneaker and chain are cause for celebration.  Click the jump below and let us know how you feel about sneaker-inspired jewelry.

24 Kilates x Asics x Tres ZZZ San Fermin Pack Teaser

Pamplona, Spain is best known around the world for its annual ‘Running of the Bulls’, but did you know that’s actually part of a larger celebration?  Each July, the festival of San Fermin kicks off in the Navarre city, accompanied by dancers, street entertainers, and this year, a special Asics collaboration with a local sneaker supplier.  24 Kilates got up with Tres ZZZ on the Asics Gel Lyte Speed pictured above, and this teaser has us seeing red (on the sockliner and outsole, anyway).  These are set to drop on July 10th with “many extras,” so check out another teaser photo after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more on this Spanish trio.

Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III Navy Aqua | Release Info

The last time we previewed this latest Ronnie Fieg-Asics collaboration, did you even notice the kicks (much less the matching bag)!?  It’s much easier to focus in on the fine details of the Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III ‘Navy-Aqua’, without the fine Joli Robinson stealing your eye.  With these new shots of Feig’s latest GLIII, you get a good sense of just how perfect the colorway really is on these suede and mesh old school runners.  Look for these to be crazy limited, with only 252 pairs releasing at DavidZ in SoHo and their online store.  It’s reported that his previous ‘Super Red’ GLIIIs sold out in 5 minutes, so you better be prepared when these drop this upcoming Tuesday, June 15th at 10am sharp.  via NK

Joli Robinson for Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III Navy Aqua

Dressing a gorgeous female model with superior calf development in your latest collaboration would be enough to persuade plenty of people to buy a pair of sneakers, but Ronnie Fieg knows that sneakerheads demand quality.  His upcoming Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III ‘Navy-Aqua’ looks amazing on model Joli Robinson’s pointed toes, but it’s certainly up for debate which is more beautiful.  Ok, maybe not, but the latest Feig GLIIIs are quite impressive in a tonal blue colorup with white accents.  Check out some more shots after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on their release.

Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III Super Red Release Info

David Z’s Ronnie Fieg is no stranger to Asics.  Now a few projects deep into a history with collabs with the running company, Fieg and Asics are ready to drop another release.  We’ve already seen teasers and a risque preview with Tanaya Henry, but here’s a better look emphasizing the shoe itself.  Like the previous releases, Fieg concentrates on material and clean color blocking.  As promised we have release info confirming that the Super Red’s will drop this Friday, May 21st, at DavidZ.com as well as its flagship SoHo shop.  Limited to only 252, the shoes retail at $90 and will include an exclusive tshirt inspired by the shoe’s design.

Sneaker News Weekly Rewind: 5/8 5/14

It was a bittersweet moment for Nike Basketball; on one end, Kobe Bryant moved on to the West Finals and had a commemorative package of his shoes release, while LeBron James was sent home early pondering his future destination. Sneaker News continued with exclusive Jordan Brand coverage, showing you first looks at the upcoming Jordan AIRS and Grown and a kids colorway of the Rare Air. Speaking of rare Air, one avid collector showed us his AJKO collection by comparing an original pair with the Retro, while another showed his customized AJVI Lakers. Also causing some eyes to pop out was a new colorway and design of an AJF Fusion and super-bright and fuzzy pair of sample SB Dunks, only to have our attention stolen by two women, one scantily clad and other completely in the nude. Wrapping up this strong week was a second look at the Cough Drop Foamposite One and fresh look at the upcoming Pearl Foamposite Pro. There’s a ton more to see, with Celebs, NBA ballers, and other kicks, so stop in and check out what you might’ve missed.

Tanaya Henry for Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III Super Red

Tanaya Henry of SheWearsYourTee.com and a decade of ‘other’ modeling fame, has popped up in Ronnie Fieg’s latest collaboration with running specialists, Asics.  In this preview of the upcoming Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III ‘Super Red’, the lean and lithe Miss Henry demands your attention.  Her beautiful, athletic figure might be distracting were the poses not carefully staged to emphasize what looks to be another in the long line of Fieg x Asics heat.  Take a look at more shots after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates on the upcoming release.

Asics Gel Lyte III + Gel Lyte Speed + GT II Pastel Pack

Easter is the holiday most frequently associated with pastel colors, but when you use your Paas kit this carefully, get ready for entire seasons of deliciousness.  The new Asics Pastel Pack takes two of their all-time greats, the Gel Lyte III and GT-II runners (plus the not-pictured Gel Lytespeed), and applies a range of soft, springy shades in some eye-catching colorblocking schemes.  Expect a quintessentially ‘Easter’ GLIII with a blue/pink counterpart, plus a GT-II that’ll remind you of pre-’90s Sprite cans (or perhaps the OG GLIIIs).  They’re set to drop this month, so stick with Sneaker News for updates.  via CT
