We all remember the hype surrounding Kanye West’s collaborations with Louis Vuitton for the LV Don and Jasper sneaker. Although these LV Sunlight sneakers from the Winter 2009 collection have no affiliation with the rapper/producer, they still have a clean design that should definitely appeal to those sneaker heads out there with an eye for the more luxurious side of things. These LV Sunlights feature two colorways, grey/royal blue and khaki/red. The upper is a combination of premium suede and leather with perforated suede side panels, a suede ankle strap and mesh tongue and liner. The Nike Air Yeezy sold out immediately wherever it was released, Kanye’s Louis Vuitton’s are super-expensive and the Air Jordan VIII ‘Aquas’ haven’t retroed in quite some time.  What’s a Mr. West biter fan to do?  The next best thing to the Aqua 8s might be these Air Jordan Force VIIIs (AJF 8).  The heel ribbing that sort of foreshadowed the AJXII sunray stitching is something we’ve never seen on an Air Force 1 sole, much less one with aquatone on the heel and toe and bright concord in between.  If you like those, you’ll love the AJF8 in the OG home colourway.  This pair features a perforated leather underlay that perfectly matches the AF1’s toe.  Expect these in February, with the Aquas splashing down in March.  via SC

It’s been a quiet couple of weeks for the Louis Vuitton Don, Kanye West, but now that his “Fame Kills” Tour has officially been canceled it seems he has more time to spend with his family and friends as he was spotted leaving the Cheesecake Factory earlier this week with his aunt in Los Angeles. ‘Ye was seen wearing a pair of his Louis Vuitton collaboration Don’s sneakers in the Brown, Metallic Chrome, and Pink colorway. Most of you heard about Jay-Z’s epic 9/11 Benefit Concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City this past weekend, where tickets were going for upwards of $50,000 on the street, now here is a visual recap of the concert where Jay-Z brought out a number of special guests that included Kanye West, Rihanna, John Mayer, Diddy, and more. When it comes to what the artists were wearing, Jay-Z was again wearing a pair of Black and White high top sneakers that featured various straps, the same pair he wore while in concert a couple months ago. Kanye went along with the theme of “all Black everything” by wearing an all Black outfit topped off with a pair of his collaboration Louis Vuitton Jasper’s in all Black. Diddy was seen wearing a pair of old Nike SB Trainer TW II’s.

UPDATE: The shoes that Jay-Z was wearing at this concert are from a new sneaker brand out of Southern California called radii. The radii model that Hova has been seen wearing is known as the 420 Top. via radii

During the third day of the J&R MusicFest in New York City, The Clipse along with Mario and Sean Garrett performed, while we couldn’t get a good look at what Pusha T and Malice were wearing we did spot Mario and Sean Garrett each wearing a pair of the Kanye West x Louis Vuitton collaboration sneakers. Mario was seen wearing a pair of the all Black Jasper’s while Sean Garrett decided to go with the all Red Don’s.

At the Houston stop on the Heineken Red Star Soul Tour, Hip-Hop artists, Wale, Bun B, and T-Pain all made appearances in addition to performing for the packed house. Actor/comedian Brandon T. Jackson also made an apperance at the event. Wale, who has been known to be seen in various Nike shoes months before their release was spotted in a pair of the Nike Air Max III in White, the Air Max III is a Retro of the original Nike Air Garnett 3, the last signature made by Nike for Kevin Garnett. Brandon T. Jackson was spotted in a pair of new Nike Dunk High “Ultraman’s” while T-Pain was seen wearing his Kanye West x Louis Vuitton Jasper’s again.
