Now that you’re up on what went down at Sneaker Con, let’s take a closer look at what attendees were rocking on their feet. Without even looking into it yet, your guess is probably the same as ours going into the event- a tsunami of Jordans. The big surprise became how many AJ 9′s and how little Space Jams were present. Nike Basketball and SB were also in full effect, most of which were of more recent releases.
However we did see some people sporting serious heat including the Parra x Patta and Uruwa Air Max 1′s, OG Infrared 6, McFly Hyperdunk, Gundam Air Max Tempo, and Aston Martin x Zoom Kobe V’s. If you were still around near the end of the event, you might have scoped a fresh pair of 112 Pack LeBron VII’s worn by ATF member, All Day, It was refreshing to see some other brands getting some love; a common trend became a few of the Jeremy Scott designs for adidas. With growing popularity within streetwear, it was a bit disheartening to see how few Vans there were. We hope the next event brings some more diversity. Continue on to see what other sneakers were caught at Sneaker Con, one of the them might be of yours…

Here’s a piece of trivia that’ll impress the ladies (at the nursing home); Rene Lacoste, the homme behind the Lacoste label, invented the metal tennis racket. Yeah, that’s as useful as a solar-powered flashlight, but it shouldn’t come as a surprise because Lacoste started his career as a tennis player (a good one at that). The Lacoste Metal Racquet Pack features three Tennis-inspired models based on the metal-rimmed, leather-wrapped tennis racket that Lacoste created. The two low-tops have a familiar design while the mid-top features a strap across the in-step, much like John McEnroe’s Nike Air Trainer 1. Continue reading for a look at the collection, and expect the Lacoste Metal Racquet Pack this upcoming Fall.

Yesterday night Sneaker News dropped an exclusive teaser of an upcoming Air Jordan IX that flew under the radar and was not previewed in Jordan Brand catalogs or look-sees. Here’s a first look of this Air Jordan IX in a white patent leather upper, citrus trim on the logo, and a Deep Forest outsole. A quick glance and your eyes may fool you: the outsole is in fact a dark shade of green (Seattle Sonics PE?). Contrast stitching is also evident on the upper, along with citrus laces dotted with JORDAN typefont – a true first for an Air Jordan Legacy silhouette. As of now, just 2,000 pairs are believed to have been produced, which could probably make these Air Jordan IX a Quickstrike release. Sneaker News brought you a first look at this upcoming Air Jordan IX so be assured we will update you with all the necessary info. Continue reading for a detailed look and chime in with your opinions. via MS.

While most people enjoyed time with their friends and family with a traditional Easter Sunday, 21 Mercer held it down for the off-beat crowd with its firts ever ‘Stickballers’ event with Futura. With bright skies arriving just in time, it couldn’t have been a better setting for an inner-city tradition during the Spring and Summer. The massive turnout enjoyed spectating around some avid stickball players, tunes by The Abstract himself, Q-Tip, gutter street foot, and later on a Yanks opening day screening followed by a Q&A with the NY Emperor’s Stickball League. A good weather and a great turnout only means one thing- serious footwear. People came out the wood works with a variety of heat, both old and new. Check out the event recap pics, along with shots of a bunch of attendee’s kicks.
