The Nike Stefan Janoski SE Velcro is getting a special makeup courtesy of 8FIVE2, a Hong Kong skateshop that has become one of the few to get their hands on on a collab of this ilk. The shoes are apparently inspired by the pristine whites of hospital wear, which explains the presence of the strap in place of the typical lacing system. The Nike Lunar Flyknit Chukka looks to be ready to serve up one of its fuzzier looks outside of the HTM range. The pairs to arrive at retail to date have kept things fairly uniform across the upper, a trend set to be reversed by this clean wolf grey/red/white colorway. There’s still no release date, but they’re starting to show up at Asian retailers so perhaps they’re also in the mix for June. The Air Jordan V “Elephant” has popped back up in 2013, marking the first time that we’ve seen a full view of the sneaker this year. You’ll recall that the pair is on schedule for a retail release before the year’s end, a release supposedly surrounded by some more sneakers in some sort of a pack set up. The Air Jordan V has been a pretty true-to-OG affair in 2013, so we’d say it’s about time for a brand new combo that can satisfy those aside from the staunch purists among you. The Reebok Question is finally prepared to evolve a bit beyond the leather stuff in this retro iteration. That will happen across the Reebok Question “Canvas Pack”, a three sneaker set that uses, you guessed it, canvas most prominently across the upper of the classic Allen Iverson model. Afew has gotta be one of the best in the game as far as shops cranking out gear that pays homage to your favorite sneaker releases. Coming long after their Nike Sportswear “Legends” tote, the shop has this time come together with Kwills to whip up a tee paying homage to some of the greatest Asics Gel Lyte III colorways of all time. The shirt will be up for grabs at their 2013 Japan Day celebration there in Dussledorf on May 24th, an event accompanied by a BBQ, a showcase of their Top 50 Asics Gel release, and a display of vintage Asics heat. We’ve got a feeling that a good number of the folks who’ve got loads of Nike Flyknit stuff in their closet haven’t put too many actual running miles on them. That’s not necessarily a bad thing though, as we can certainly get behind performance footwear for casual use. Owning up to that a bit more is the new Nike Flyknit Chukka, a shoe that isn’t shy about its lifestyle nature. Pictured is one of the pairs that will show up for June, featuring a set of blues across the upper that doesn’t end up too static-looking.
