Supreme, that legendary institution of downtown skatewear in NYC, turns 20 years old this week. The shop has kept the anniversary fanfare to a relative minimum: they’ll be re-introducing the two tees that were available when they opened their doors back in 1994, but that’s it – there will be no blitz of hype anchored collabs, no special sneakers in sight, and no inkling that they’re all of a sudden going to start playing by the same rules that the rest of the industry does. Spicing up a sneaker by throwing some speckling on the sole kit is one of the oldest tricks in the Swoosh book. We’re not disparaging that approach though – sometimes that subtle touch can take a shoe from run of the mill to pretty interesting. This Nike Roshe Run of the NM persuasion for example might have slipped under the radar were in not for that cement style touche that shoes up for the Natural Motion platform. See what we mean by browsing the set of photos on them that we’ve got lined up below and tell us your thoughts down in the comments. Also – get them today at Titolo if you don’t want to wait around.

the hundreds reebok pump The Hundreds x Reebok Pump Teaser

It looks like LA based streetwear giant The Hundreds has a Reebok Pump collaboration in the works. All we’ve got on the project so far is this teaser image, which features the instantly recognizable Pump technology on the tongue, with that pressure system button fashioned in the shape of the brand’s bombastic logo. The model is for the most part obscured, but we’re sure that detail will come into clearer view in due time (Although the tongue structure sort of suggests an AXT Pump). Continue reading to get a little bit more context with this teaser photo and watch for this The Hundreds x Reebok Pump project to launch for Fall, 2014.
