The next Jordan Brand Flight 23 store, an all-Jordan retail space that celebrates the legacy of Michael Jordan, will be opening in Chicago. The Niketown in that city does already have a Flight 23-like space, but we’re certain that Jordan acolytes won’t mind another shrine at which to worship. There isn’t an opening date set just yet, or even a confirmation from Nike or Foot Locker, parent company of Footaction, but the news was confirmed by one Joe Sitt, CEO of Thor Equities, who owns the space where Flight 23 is set to land in the Windy City. See some shots from the current Flight 23 NYC below and tell us in the comments if you’re excited for this next chapter in Jordan Brand history.

Included in this smart new set are shoes like the Vans OTW Alomar and the Vans OTW Bedford, along with the return of the Tesella silhouette that started out its life with that STAMPD partnership. Continue reading to see those pairs and more and watch for these at Vans OTW accounts across the globe this month.

nine at nine flyknits summary Sneaker News NINE@NINE: Fascinating Flyknits

When the Nike Flyknit technology was first introduced to the world in February of 2012, it was described as a “knit for performance to create running footwear that features only the essentials”. There were stats trotted out about the incredibly lightweight Flyknit Racer (5.6 ounces for a size 9) and plenty of words written about their second skin nature – a feeling that Nike has been trying to get at for decades now. Since that 2012 launch, Nike Flyknit has gone on to be a massive success, and has quickly spilled out of the running range that it was originally introduced with.

The Air Jordan 11 “Pantone” will be making it to retail at last this year with the arrival of the “Ultimate Gift of Flight” pack. While the release of that two-sneaker set is still a couple of months away, that doesn’t mean that there aren’t pairs out there already. Spotted at Sneaker Con this past weekend was this pair, which reminds us that the shoes take a sort of un-Columbia approach in their coloring. See more shots on them below and stick with us for an Air Jordan 11 “Pantone” release date (Remember that current talk has them as a late-December release.

Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star 1970s “Woven Textile”

This might be the closest we’ve ever seen a Converse shoe get to the Missoni look without actually being a collaboration. Everything from the woven upper to the brown leather accents suggest another team up with that house, but as you can see there are no bits of branding to suggest such a team up (There is also no mention in the original copy regarding a collab). The good news is that the lack of a team up here should have them a lot more comfortable than those $200 Missoni pairs. Get more angles on these Chucks below and let us know whether or not you like them.
