The last time Japan’s Bedwin & the Heartbreakers hooked up with The Brand with the Three Stripes was last spring when Beauty & Youth and UNDFTD came along to form the ‘B.B.U’ triumvirate. This time around, Bedwin gets an entire capsule with multiple footwear options and a whole range of apparel inspired by 1970s adidas pieces. We’ll focus on the footwear here, starting with the adidas Originals BW Country Zero in Aluminum with sunny sockliner. That pair is joined by the BW Superstar 80s in St. Brick brown leather, BW Winter Chukka desert boot in black, and a BW Campus 80s also in black patent. About three weeks ago, Sneaker News gave you a first look at a mod to Eric Koston’s second Nike Skateboarding signature model involving a Free forefoot sole and Max Air a la AM1 at the heel. Today we have proof that this is a movement making its way across the entire SB signature series, as along with the Nike Eric Koston 2 Max, the Stefan Janoski Max makes its first appearance. The Koston has some Air Max 1 Hyperfuse flavor at the toe, but that’s a minor shift as compared to the Janoski Max’s boat saddle plus Roshe toe meets Free Run bootie and barefoot appeal. The Nove series from Gourmet is typified by its Chelsea boot-ish gusset, as secured by a prominently branded ankle strap. The Gourmet Nove 2 came onto the scene earlier this year with a novel basket weave embossing applied to its leather upper, which foreshadowed the styles we’re seeing here today in Peacoat navy blue and Chili Pepper red. The iconic lowtop that is the Converse Jack Purcell is most commonly rendered in canvas as was the case with the originals. Given Converse’s tendency to use the JPs and Chuck Taylors as blank canvases, it’s not entirely uncommon to see additional materials tossed into the mix, as was the case this February when two rich leather styles came our way. The last time we saw a Court Deck model from adidas Orignals, it was the midtop version that debuted last year. About eleven months later, we see this boat-inspired design reach the most logical conclusion as a lowtop, though some of the boat steez has been eliminated. These new adidas Court Deck Vulcs are like the Nike SB Stefan Janoski in that way, eschewing the traditional boat shoe heel lace for a more universal lockdown. Last week, Sneaker News profiled a Nike Flyknit Trainer+ custom job that incorporated pigeon embroidery at the heels, taking the Bright Crimson and grey colorway to another level. Here is another Bright Crimson Flyknit Trainer interwoven with grey, but this time, the blend is much tighter and covers the entire upper. Jordan Brand followed the Aero Flight quickly with the Aero Mania and it would appear this model continuing the name pivot would be the third in this temporally condensed lineage. The Jordan Prime Mania makes its firs appearance today with a build somewhere between the Aero Mania and Super.Fly 2 or XX8 SE. In other words, they’re perfectly in line with JB’s upcoming performance basketball output and light as a feather in Hyperfuse with Dynamic Flywire lockdown. The last Nike Flyknit Trainer+ released this April, blending Neo Turquoise and Dark Grey. Here’s a new one that switches out the grey flecks for a blue/pink mix, another Neo Turquoise Flyknit Trainer that has a bit more energy than its predecessor.
