It’s been a quiet year thus far for the Nike Tennis Classic. The original white and blue colorway dropped back in January (a style that debuted on this shoe when it was still called the ‘Wimbledon’), but that’s been the only piece of news to report. Luckily, today we have a new pair to share with you, which is done in the vulc-soled AC style and swaps out the blue accents for University Red. This is an extremely clean sneaker and an old school answer to the Air Tech Challenge revival, which you can see in more detail below and available now at shops like Titolo.

Getting the exact colorway you want sometimes involves a bit of work. That’s the basic idea behind custom sneakers, and there are any number of ways to achieve a one-of-one look. Paint and maybe markers are the most obvious choices, and beyond that, you’re looking at material customization as the next level. Jeff McFetridge’s 2003 Nike Vandal broke new ground in that respect by introducing a cutaway upper that could be tailored to reveal a hidden base layer.

Nike Zoom Turf “Michael Schumacher” Retro

Seven-time world champion Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher is looking to make a heroic recovery after sustaining life threatening injuries in a skiing accident last year. He’s already a legend in the world of motorsports, and here’s hoping he gets even just the tiniest boost out of the fact that his signature colorway is returning. The Swoosh hasn’t shown as much interest as other brands in making driving shoes, so the Nike Air Zoom Turf that originally had the F1 master’s John Hancock on the strap is as close as NSW has come. These hadn’t retroed back in ’06 so it’s nice to have an OG 1996 style back, and with a release this Friday in Japan, US Nike Sportswear stores should have their’s soon.

Supra has a good thing going with this new luxurious line of Skytops.  Following up on the linen edition we saw about a month ago, these two new Supra Skytop LX drops also manage an upscale feel.  Particularly the tonal rouge edition, which we don’t have to tell you has more than a passing resemblance to the almighty Nike Air Yeezy 2.  There’s also a black pair following the same route with leather and suede up top and a translucent outsole.  Click in to see both pairs, then cop yours straight from Supra.

nike nfc tiempo 94 Nike Tiempo 94 Mid NFC Pack

NFC has a specific meaning when it comes to football, and though this year’s NFL Draft is right around the corner, that’s the kind of theme Nike Sportswear will start to utilize closer to the preseason.  The ‘other’ football has its global tournament right around the corner, and the latest World Cup kicks from the Swoosh are these Nike Tiempo ’94 Mids in your choice of white or black leather with Metallic Gold accents and translucent gum rubber outsoles.  The ‘NFC Pack’ refers to ‘Nike Football Club’, which is attached to the #NikeFC hashtag, and hopefully that means more styles to come.  Click in so you can see both pairs in more detail, then cop yours straight from NikeStore.

After a couple drops last December, the Reebok Kamikaze II has been quiet, ceding its spot on store shelves to its predecessor that just made its triumphant return.  But there’s room for both Kamikazes in today’s sneaker market, especially when one of them is hitting us with a timely theme as in the case of this new ‘Easter’ Kamikaze II.  These joints feature a textured tonal teal upper (say that three times fast), adding soft yellow on the midsole speckling and inner lining.  These will be up for grabs on Good Friday, so take a closer look below, and be ready to cop yours at shops like Politics.
