New Balance’s latest product line of footwear buttressed by the “Authors Collection” concept has been a major best-seller thus far. Each incredible colorway is indeed inspired by an epic novel of our time, and this 1400 model, which we showed you last week, is revealed to be taken from Joseph Heller’s Catch-22. Given the book’s military themes, this composition of olive drab tones and accents of grey and red certainly make plenty of sense on paper and in real time. Check out the extra photos of the New Balance 1400 “Catch-22″ below and look out for these at select New Balance retailers soon.

Jordan Brand’s first foray in running has been a commendable one, with the classic Trunner-style DNA being implemented into this do-it-all running/training sneaker. Infrared 23, a trendy option for this year’s Jordan fare, is painted on select portions of the Jordan Flight Runner, namely the mesh inner boot and the Elephant Print laden lockdown wing. We’re still waiting for that NRG-style colorway to help the shoe be noticed by larger crowds, but this new Infrared 23 colorway should satisfy those looking for bolder colors. Check out the additional angles below and stay tuned for a release in the States.

Many believed that a sneaker like the Air Command Force would never return, but Nike erased doubts and a confirmed release date for the air-pump-powered shoes is already out there. But what about the Air Force 180 High? Thanks to the Command Force Retro, it appears that the bring-back of the original Air Force 180 High with the air-pump module is not entirely impossible, but until then, we still need to rely on the revised mid-top version that’s been hitting stores over the last couple of years. This new colorway speaks to the early-90′s aesthetic, with the white leather base being paired with the daring colors of teal and purple. These are available right now at Nike retailer Oneness in Kentucky, so check out the additional photos below for a better look.
