LeBron James x Nike: “Together” In Cleveland

October 30th, 2014 by | No comments

lebron james nike cleveland together LeBron James x Nike: Together In Cleveland

This time it’s bigger than basketball. LeBron was well aware of the shockwaves he’d send around the league if he returned home. He’d be going against history, a Miami Heat team that had a historic 27 game winning streak and 4 straight NBA Finals appearances, but the state of Ohio and the city of Cleveland called the King home. Nike’s latest LeBron ad, entitled Together, kicks off LeBron’s NBA season as the player intros call the entire city together to witness his arrival home. Featuring a nice cameo of the Nike LeBron 12 “Heart of a Lion” (although the video is in black and white) a pumped up Kyrie Irving waiting in the wings, and a preview of the new LeBron poster being unveiled today, it’s a must watch. Be sure to check out the full spot after the break and let us know in the comments section if you’re excited about LeBron’s debut as a Cavalier against the Knicks tonight at 8PM EST on TNT.

Reebok Shaqnosis – Blue – Black – Neon

October 30th, 2014 by | No comments

reebok shaqnosis blue black neon 01 Reebok Shaqnosis Blue Black Neon
Reebok‘s retro basketball imprint has seen a resurgence for the first time since the shoes actually hit retailers in the early to mid 90s. We’ve gotten some gems like Shawn Kemp’s Reebok Kamikaze while lesser-celebrated pairs like the Reebok The Blast even turned heads. But at the helm of all of these patterned aesthetics has to be the Reebok Shaqnosis. The shoe has taken a bit of a step back for the time being – the last time we saw the sneaker was in a Miami Heat-like Black/Yellow-Red and that was in late August. But today we get a look at a brand new colorway, one that utilizes a digitized gradient of black to blue while neon green hints splash on the outsole. It’s a look that was almost an Orlando Magic reference had it not been for the lime inclusion. What do you think? Check out more of this upcoming Reebok Shaq release and stay tuned for a release date announcement in the coming days.

air jordan 1 mid melo 011 Air Jordan 1 Mid Melo New Images

We’re current entrenched in a weird era of Knicks basketball where fans are surprisingly realistic. They do have something to be optimistic about between Phil Jackson’s involvement, Carmelo Anthony, and J.R. Smith’s NBA Feet selections, but only time will tell how the squad does. Melo cemented himself as the longest tenured athlete on Jordan Brand’s basketball roster last year, reaching double digits with his Jordan Melo M10 signature. It looks like JB isn’t done commemorating the man either, as this Air Jordan 1 Mid “Melo” proves. The shoe features a premium metallic gold finish around the toebox and ankle collar while his logo arrives on the tongue. No word yet on a release date, but hit the click to see more of this PE-esque Air Jordan 1 and let us know what you think in the comments.

air jordan 10 bulls over broadway releasing 2015 all star weekend 01 Air Jordan 10 Bulls Over Broadaway Releasing On 2015 All Star Weekend

We’re only two days into the NBA season but that hasn’t stopped people from locking in their speculative All-Star picks for this year. The ASG is going to be a huge event mainly because it’s on basketball’s biggest stage – Madison Square Garden in New York City. Jordan Brand always has something up their sleeve for the event, but this year seems to be an even bigger deal. There’s that “Lady Liberty” Air Jordan 10 that features a NYC motif and now we have confirmation that the Toro-inspired “Bulls Over Broadway” Air Jordan 10 will release during the 2015 NBA All-Star Weekend. Featuring a premium Remastered finish, a red leather upper is accented by a cement grey/ black outsole. If this Air Jordan 10 pair isn’t at or near the top of your list of 2015 retros to pick-up, then perhaps you need a better look. Stick with us after the break for more images.

Air Jordan 4Lab1 “Sport Turquoise”

October 30th, 2014 by | No comments

air jordan 4lab1 sport turquoise 01 Air Jordan 4Lab1 Sport Turquoise

Let the Lab Series continue. Sure, we’ve seen the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 4 team up before on the general release-delegated Air Jordan 1 Retro ’89. The thought process for the Air Jordan 4Lab1 doesn’t even look to be all that different as Mike’s fourth signature can be found atop his first thanks to the all over mesh webbing. Obviously the technology looks to be a bit more thought out and advanced on the Element Series rendition as the panels of the Air Jordan 1 seem to be fused underneath reminiscient of that NSW Tape aesthetic. We’ve already seen a rather standard white and black pair, but how does this “Sport Turquoise” look sit with you? The shade screams Gamma Blue, that hue that dominated last holiday season, while black can be found in a gradient on the heel and lining. No word yet on a release date, but check out more photos after the break.
