Brand new to the Nike Sportswear Collection, Nike is introducing their newest hybrid, the Air Max 90 Current Moire. As the name indicates, the sneaker combines features of the Air Max 90, the Air Current, and the Air Moire. It features a perforated synthetic suede uppers similar to the Air Moire for better upper movement. This stylish and comfortable running sneaker is being released in two colorways, a black and grey. Both pairs are starting to hit select Nike Sportswear retailers, including colette in France.

Remaking two of their most popular sneakers ever, Puma is set to release a limited edition Breakpoint Collection, consisting of the Puma Clyde, worn by basketball Hall of Famer Walt “Clyde” Frazier, and the Stepper, another classic basketball sneaker. The shoes have been transformed into tennis sneakers, sporting the traditional, solid Wimbeldon colors of royal purple and emerald green, as well as black, varsity red, and royal blue. All sneakers contain suede uppers combined with white leather accents, while the Stepper’s uppers are completely perforated and just the Clyde’s tongue and lacehole tabs are perforated. The Stepper will be released in late April, while the Clyde will be released in late March. via Vagant

Similar in design to the X-Girl Blazer, Nike is releasing an interesting tweed Blazer. Giving the sneaker a more sophisticated and old-fashioned look, this Blazer’s uppers are covered in tweed, while the eyelets are made of a suiting, brown leather. The shoe contains volt-colored accents and is finished with a classic gum sole. They’re available now at West in New York and should be at most Nike retailers soon.

With much commotion surrounding the webcast unveiling of the Nike Zoom Kobe IV, pictures of the 2009 All-Star Edition have already hit the web. As some of you basketball fans may know, this season’s NBA All-Star Game will take place in Phoenix. For the special occasion, Nike has made a red/white version of the sneaker for the West squad for which Kobe, most likely, will be playing for. This sneaker is said to be Kobe’s lightest and strongest to date, while also providing a high level of stability and comfort. Among other features of the shoe are Flywire uppers, LunarLite foam cushioning, Nike Zoom heel units, as well as a Phylon midsole. There is no word on an official release date, but the sneakers can be bought now at Marquee Sole, so hurry while supplies last!

Diverging from the norm, Jordan Brand has designed another colorway of the Air Jordan Force XX especially for girls. The sneaker features a solid black colorway, with a leopard pattern printed on the smooth leather upper. The toe box contains synthetic horse hair making it a bit more interesting. The pair is finished with a suiting, bold maize colored out sole while the lining is also in the yellow color and contains the intricate pattern for the Air Jordan XX. This past October, we profiled the Air Max 97 & Blazer Playstation 3 Pack. Although the Blazers have already hit stores, such as Proper, the Air Max 97s have also recently dropped. As the nickname indicates, the sneaker was inspired by the popular Playstation 3 gaming system, with its black colorway and Playstation-like reflective side panel piece. The shoe also shows great use of mesh and patent leather. These sneakers are available now at select Nike retailers including eBay and nikestore.com.

With the Black Cement Air Jordan 2.5 being profiled over the weekend, a white/blue/black version is also available for purchase, for those looking for a lighter colored shoe. This is just one of the many Jordan Brand hybrids, although this sneaker shows that the company hasn’t forgotten about the legendary classics that have made the brand what it is today. Working with Barneys in the past on a number of hot sneakers, Alife is back again with the popular Everybody model. Red, black, and yellow patent leather versions of the shoe have released as the “Patent Pack”. These sneakers will feature the new Barneys man logo on the heel and sole, as well as the elastic drawstring lacing system seen on previous versions of the model.
