All white and black versions of the Nike Air Force 1 Low aren’t the only styles that’ll drop with gum soles here in the near future. And if we take from those two identically blocked AF1s along with the majority of general releases in recent years as clues, then Nike Sportswear won’t be stopping with just this one either. This is a good thing, as you can clearly see, and a more ‘Uptown’ feeling suede rendition than the recent OG Blazer homages. Stick with Sneaker News to see if the Arctic Green edition adds packmates and let us know how it compares to the white and black joints after you’ve seen more below.

The black leather Nike Air Force 1 Low doesn’t command quite the legend status as its white-on-white summertime standby, but it remains an extremely popular foundational look. Here we see the old -001 colorway given an extra dose of old school good vibes with a Gum Medium Brown outsole appended. Now we’re talking about one of the all-time skateboarding colorways as applied to a model whose sole has seen several exclusive Dunk Force 1 SB hybrids, so all at once these are simply timeless and hinting at a little something extra. Check them out below in more images and stick with Sneaker News for US release info on the black/gum Air Force 1 Low.

There’s no doubt that Air Force 1 colroways have been crazier and crazier, but that route has certainly attracted some of the younger sneaker fans while the simpler, two-toned versions continue to keep the older cats pleased. Perhaps one of the most color Air Force 1s we’ve seen in 2013, the Nike Air Force 1 Low “Weatherman”, which borrows the identical graphic from the Nike Air Foamposite One of the same concept, features some additional details that might make these too irresistible to pass up. The opaque outsole matches the glossy nature of the upper, with a gradient white-to-blue serving as a nice pairing with the heat-mapped upper. A gallery of the Weatherman Forces is right below, so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more info as it develops.

Earlier this week, Nike Sportswear at 21 Mercer notified its followers of a special sneaker release – the Nike Lunar Force 1 “Sheed” in the two Knicks-based colorways. What made the evening a night to remember was an appearance by Rasheed Wallace himself – the UNC alumni who spent his entire career keeping it “old school” with relentless trash-talking and effective low-post play on both ends. “Sheed” has a firm spot in the sneaker culture as well, as he is recognized for his defiant predilection towards Nike Air Force 1 Highs during a decade of incredible advancements in Nike Basketball. Over the last decade, Air Force 1 fans have been treated with Nike Air Force 1 (in all types) releases bearing the iconic Sheed silhouette, but with Nike’s unveiling of the “Future of Force” in the Nike Lunar Force 1, it was about time Sheed got the Lunar treatment.
Yesterday evening, a formidable crowd lined up at the front stairs at 21 Mercer – a mix of sneakerheads, basketball fans, and followers of the Sheed cult; after a short wait, Rasheed Wallace emerged and spent some time chatting with Eddie Huang, the night’s host and an avid Knicks fan, about the NBA pro’s personal style of hooping and his reasons for sticking with the Air Force 1 throughout the years (dependable ankle protection, and custom insoles to keep his feet cushioned). With Rasheed Wallace done with NBA Basketball for good, will his AF1 influence continue? We sure hope so. Check out a quick recap of the night’s events, which concluded with a release of the Nike Lunar Force 1 “Sheed” ($135, limited to 100 pairs per colorways), and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more great updates on the latest happenings in the sneaker world.
