The first half of 2010 was taken over by the Air Jordan Force Fusion VIII (speaking on AJFs only), so this release of the AJF5 is quite sudden, especially with the unveiling of the Air Jordan Force Fusion X. The Miami-esque colorway of white, black, spice, and light retro has already been seen in a recently released Jordan Flight 45 High. This pair was previewed in the Jordan Brand Fall 2010 Lookbook but it’s easy to say it was overlooked due to the Retros and other new designs. If the Force Fusion is up your alley you can expect these to hit select Jordan retailers soon, as these are already available at Extra Butter.

Air Jordan Force Fusion 10 – First Look

AJF X M 6m 570x427 Air Jordan Force Fusion 10 First Look

The last Force x Air fusion Sneaker News showed you – the Air Jordan Force Fusion XII Obsidian – was met with high praise from fans and detractors alike due to the shoe’s tit-for-tat resemblance to the original Air Jordan it took after. The latest installment of the Air Jordan Force Fusion legacy is the Air Jordan X, and like the AJF12 Obsidian, this upcoming fusion impeccably hybridizes the Air Jordan X upper with a toe, strap, and midsole of an Air Force 1 Mid. The Jordan branding found on the tag of the X is placed on the strap, and the most prominent design features of the Air Jordan X, the bottom sole chronicling Jordan’s achievements, is also pressed together with a classic AF1 sole. Check out this first look at the Air Jordan Force Fusion 10 in the “Steel” colorway and let us know what you think of the AJF10. Marquee Sole.

Air Jordan Force Fusion VIII (AJF 8) LS Quickstrike – Firepit | Available

air jordan ajf 8 firepit available summary Air Jordan Force Fusion VIII (AJF 8) LS Quickstrike Firepit | Available

Chapter two of the Air Jordan Force Fusion VIII (AJF 8 ) begins with the release of the ‘Firepit’ AJF8 LS.  Gone are the AJVIII’s criss-crossing straps, replaced by a traditional AF1 High-style ankle velcro.  Jordan Brand managed to keep them somewhat close to the VIII straps, at least in their inclusion of the ‘AIR JORDAN’ debossing that also appears on the Jordan Six Rings.  As for the colorway, ‘Firepit’ is one of the best we’ve seen on any Jays and we look forward to seeing it on some other models.  As for right now, the Firepit AJF8s are available on NikeStore.

Air Jordan Force Fusion XII (AJF 12) – Obsidian – White | Detailed Images

The Air Jordan Force Fusion experiment began in 2008 with the Air Jordan XII being the first to go under the knife. Some call the AJF XII the best Jordan-meets-the-Force product to date due to its stark resemblance to the actual production shoe, and this latest colorway only strengthens that statement due to its great impression of the original Air Jordan XII Obsidian that released in February of 1997. Not only does the design of the AJF XII look impressive, but the materials look top notch, from the pebbled leather on the toe to the leather “rising sun” panel on the sidewall. The Obsidian XII is the only original colorway of the XII that Jordan himself never wore in a game, and it is one of the few un-retroed Originals that remain in the Air Jordan Legacy. Check out the detailed images after the jump and let us know where this ranks among the Jordan fusions of the past. via kinstor.

Air Jordan Force Fusion VIII (AJF 8) GS – White – Perfect Pink – Stealth | Available

IMG 9270 570x379 Air Jordan Force Fusion VIII (AJF 8) GS White Perfect Pink Stealth | Available

Judging by the comments left in our preview of the ‘Firepit’ Quickstrikes, sneakerheads prefer their Air Jordan Force Fusion VIIIs (AJF 8 ) with an AF1 strap instead of the criss-crossing joints from the AJVIII.  Then again, hybrids are a big hit with the younger crowd, so this new AJF8 GS is sure to find its fair share of fans.  These new Fusion VIIIs go the pink-and-shrink route, adding some grey to the white/pink base for balance.  A perfect shoe for your lil Miss Sneakerhead this summer, the white and pink AJF8 is available from highkickz on eBay.

Air Jordan Force Fusion XII (AJF 12) – Obsidian – White – New Images

AJF12 Obsdn M 6m 570x427 Air Jordan Force Fusion XII (AJF 12) Obsidian White New Images

We saw the Air Jordan Force Fusion series change its straps right before our eyes, but that’s not the only surprise from this oft-maligned hybrid collection.  The Air Jordan Force Fusion XII (AJF12) is pictured above in the colorway MJ wore to the 1997 NBA All Star Game, a mix of rich Obsidian tumbled leather with quilted stitching, plus white pebbled leather on the toe.  Possibly still a purist’s nightmare, these are easily one of the best AJF12s we’ve seen, and consequently among the best from the entire AJF lineup.  Check out some more images of this August 2010 release after the jump, and cop a pair early from Marquee Sole.

Air Jordan Force Fusion VIII QS – Birch – Smoke – Khaki – Firepit

The Air Jordan Force Fusion Experiment was a simple combination of the the classic Nike Air Force 1 and an installment of the Air Jordan Legacy. But at some point, it began to lean a bit far to one side, emphasizing the Jordan more than the Force. This latest Air Jordan Force Fusion VIII maintains the balance and perhaps gives the best portrayal of a Force-Jordan fusion; the Air Force 1 High takes the wheel and it’s the Air Jordan VIII that takes somewhat of a backseat by adding touches that are subtle in comparison to the previous AJF VIII. This colorway features a beach-like combination of birch, khaki, smoke, and firepit red, and will be a Quickstrike release at the Foot Locker House of Hoops on June 10th. Now that there are TWO designs of the Air Jordan Force Fusion VIII, which is better? The one that leans more toward Jordan, or these, that clearly have more of an AF1 inspiration?

Air Jordan Force Fusion XII (AJF 12) – Obsidian – White – August 2010

AJF 12 french blue 4 570x320 Air Jordan Force Fusion XII (AJF 12) Obsidian White August 2010

Among the more interesting looks from yesterday’s Jordan Brand Fall 2010 collection preview is the new Air Jordan Force XII (AJF 12) pictured above.  These hearken back to the 1997 NBA All Star Game where MJ was named one of the 50 greatest players in NBA history and recorded the only All Star Game triple-double ever.  In the thirteen years since then, we’ve seen these retroed once, but it was as a lowtop version in 2004 which almost doesn’t qualify because the Air Jordan XII Low didn’t release in 1996-97 alongside the OG XIIs and didn’t show up until ’04.  Maybe that’s why this shoe looks so great, but it’s also entirely possible that this is the best AJF design yet.  They’ll hit Jordan Brand retailers like Foot Locker on August 28th so check out more images after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for updates.
