This past week was a major treat for Air Jordan XI fans, as we got a clear confirmation of the release of the Columbia XI and received a nice treat in the form of the Air Jordan XI ‘Blackout’. Here’s a look at yet another piece of Air Jordan XI greatness – the University Blue/Black-White sample; much like the Air Jordan X sample we showed you yesterday, this sample features a tonal University Blue upper with a White Jumpman logo on the heel and a black mesh-weave inner lining. Curiously enough, these are dated as Spring 2010, while the Air Jordan X sample was due in Spring of 2008. Additionally, you may attribute these to the Pantone 284 Collection that was on display at the Jordan Brand ‘For The Love Of The Game’ pop-up exhibit in Harlem during 2010′s World Basketball Festival, but these do not feature the laser-graphic upper (but instead a leather material seen on the Cool Grey XI). So which Air Jordan XI sample to you like better – these or the ‘Blackout’ (currently fetching over $7,500 in auction)? Many of you are looking forward to the Air Jordan IV ‘Military’ that is set for a release in June, and like Jordan Brand always does, a set of non-Retro sneakers in a similar theme will also drop. Count on this ‘Military Blue’ colorway of the Air Jordan Retro V.1 to hit sometime soon, but don’t confuse it with the patent-leather version that is dropping on February 24th; both share a similar profile, but these do in fact have a slightly different shade of blue and feature suede, not patent leather. We’ve got some additional angles below so take a look and let us know what you think.

Our readers from the Pacific Northwest should be well familiar with the University of Oregon/University of Washington rivalry. In the footwear world the battle hasn’t historically been very close thanks to Oregon’s deep reaching Nike connects, but TCMan5190 on NT is looking to reverse that trend a bit with this pair of customs. Starting with the white/varsity red Air Jordan VI retro as his base, he brought in some gold accenting in DMP fashion and introduced a little purple to the midsole color hit. 2012 marks the 23rd Anniversary for the Air Jordan IV, so a special release for one particular sector of Jordan fanatics had to be made! This Girls-only colorway of the Air Jordan IV hits stores tomorrow, featuring a tonal Voltage Cherry upper with Black accents on the lacewings and outsole. The guys certainly had their eyes glued to them when 106 & Park host Rocsi salsa-danced in them in a friendly battle against Superbowl Champ Victor Cruz, and the ladies got clear confirmation that these are in fact a must-have sneaker. Tomorrow will be a monster day of releases and the Voltage Cherry IVs are one reason why that is, so be sure to cop these at Jordan Brand retailers like Moe’s Sneaker Spot or cop a pair right now on eBay.

Tomorrow marks one of the biggest sneaker release days of the year, with a handful of must-have releases hitting stores and causing indecision in the minds of sneakerheads. One of frontrunners of these releases is the Air Jordan X ‘Old Royal’, which features a white upper in tumbled and patent leather, an Old Royal blue detailing and Stealth Grey hints on the outsole and lace-straps. Jordan Brand rarely taps an outside source to design a shoe, but when it does, it shouldn’t be surprising that they went to such great heights and brought in one of most talented artists/sneakerheads today. Dave White’s brush strokes are more easily recognizable on canvases, but when we first saw the Dave White x Air Jordan 1 that released in February of 2011, the instant connection was made. Of course, just 23 of those pairs went out to the public via auction, but a year later, Jordan Brand will release another Dave White-designed Air Jordan 1 to a larger audience. In addition to tomorrow’s release, the Dave White x Air Jordan 1 will also release on February 24th, and proceeds from the Air Jordan 1 Dave White will go toward benefiting the Jordan Brand WINGS For The Future program.
