Nike Air Classic BW Chlorophyll

The ‘Chlorophyll’ colorway of the original Nike Air Trainer 1 is one that is almost always welcomed by sneakerheads when ported onto other models. This time around we see it make the jump to the , with the green hits remaining pretty minimal showing up on the Air Max detailing on the heel and outsole. Heck even without the rich background of the colorway, this pair could stand on its own as a pretty versatile model thanks to the grey’d out upper. Follow us after the jump for the full shots of the ‘Chlorophyll’ and stick with Sneaker News for all your Air Max-related info. via TTB

Nike Air Classic BW Black Deep Royal Dark Grey

Grey tones have been working so well on their own these past few years, why don’t we try infusing a couple into one of the established classics, both in name in stature?  These aren’t exactly the beloved Persian Violets that stand out as the Nike Air Classic BW‘s signature colorway, but they do take the same basic colors and pattern, and apply a couple greys through the Big Window’s sweeping elliptical arc.  We haven’t yet seen Nike Sportswear create a BW/Air Max 95 mashup, so this is about as close as you’ll get to combining those two icons’ best-known looks; are you glad to see this change or would you be down for another round of Persians?  They’re arriving now at European retailers like Burner, and you can see a few more angles after the jump.

Nike Air Classic BW White Black Court Green

It’s not going to outnumber Air Max 1 or 95 releases, and most pairs can’t hold a candle to the limited releases we see when Nike Sportswear digs another forgotten classic out of their extensive running archives, but the Nike Air Classic BW performs admirably in its role as a fairly regular release rounding out the NSW classic lineup. The newest colorway for spring captures the anticipation of a verdant new world peeking out from under the winter snow, a white leather build that adds Court Green accents and a black Swoosh for a Beantown homer look that even Laker fans would have to admit came together quite nicely. Nike Air Classic BW Black Volt White

It’s not seeing as many new releases these days as during the peak of its popularity a few years back, but if the Nike Air Classic BW wanted to show up in a bunch of new colorways as good as this one, we certainly wouldn’t mind. These new Big Windows highlight the upper’s distinctive lines with the high-contrast black/Volt combo anchored by a white Swoosh and heel stripe. The difference between the nylon tongue and collar, sockliner, top eylets, upper outline and signature Window gives these quite a bit more tonal depth than your average design with ‘just’ Volt accents, and you can see more of how it all fits together courtesy of some additional images after the jump. If you like what you see, get on these at Nike Sportswear retailers like Titolo.

Complexs 25 Best Nike Air Max Sneakers Of All Time

The original tag line for the debut of the Nike Air Max 1 was “Nike Air is not shoe”. Twenty-five years later, that notion holds true, because Air Max – aside from its performance value – has driven the sneaker game into collector madness with its classics taking the spotlight front and center. Many will confess to owning multiple pairs of Air Max 1s, 90s, and 95s, but let’s not forget that Air Max went beyond the confines or running and into training and basketball, creating its own legacy within each individual sport. Of course, there were the cult-classics along the way, like the nylon-uppered Air Max Deluxe and the ‘Spidermans’ in the Air Max 120 in the running sector, the Speed Turf Max, which will make a triumphant return later this year, and the LeBron 9, which continues to popularize Air Max in the sport of basketball that had been previously dominated by Zoom. Complex just put together a list of the 25 best Air Maxes of all-time, so see if you can guess which came up at number 1!

Nike Air Classic BW Black White Pure Platinum

The most recent Nike Air Classic BW we showed you here on Sneaker News was an intriguing departure from the model’s characteristic colorways, a tonal mahogany mix of leather and suede whose white accents and gum sole made for one of the most interesting Big Windows in years. Here’s another new pair that also uses a tonal suede and leather combo, but a different distribution along with microperfs on the leather and a lack of any bright accents leaves these feeling entirely different. What the black, white and Pure Platinum trio lacks for a warm, fireside appeal it makes up with the kind of versatility that puts these on your feet every day of the week. Click through to see more angles and look for your pair at a Nike Sportwear stockist like Titolo.

Nike Air Classic BW Mahogany White

Our sneaker-friends over in Europe are already getting a taste of what’s to come from Nike Sportswear Air Max for 2012, and this one taste of this Air Classic BW in Mahogany should be enough to conclude that 2012 will be a huge year. Right off the bat, flashes of 2010′s Parra x Patta x Air Max 1 come to mind, but this sick new release features a full beige sole (not really a true gum sole) with a tonal Mahogany upper constructed in leather and suede for that sexy two-toned appeal. Endclothing has a pre-order available now (with 20% off for non-Euro customers) so check out the images below and stick with Sneaker News for more Nike Sportswear 2012 releases.

Nike Air Classic BW Brown Gold

Ever the Euro favorite, the Nike Air Classic BW has just dropped in two new colorways over the past few weeks, both featuring the same colorblocking including golden accents.  The same range of materials is in play for the above pictured model, though there are a couple of changes relative to the black and white Big Windows.  This one doesn’t feature a gradient along its Window frame but instead goes for all-gold, which is also the case for the Swooshes and upper eyelets.  These feel less flashy and considerably earthier than the others thanks to a brown base; are they the best of the trio?  Have a closer look after the jump and look for these now at select European retailers.

Nike Air Classic BW White Black Blue

The Air Classic ‘Big Window’ is one of those overlooked Nike Air Max models in the United States, but gets a nice amount of attention overseas (as do other non year-designated Air Maxes). Of course, the States has seen some great releases, like the Stash x Nike Air Classic BW from the Artist Series (some regard it as one of the greatest Nike collaborations of all time), and of course, the original Persian Violet colorway. Not exactly an attempt to ‘rub it in’, but JDSports has another exclusive release of a Euro-speciality – the in this new white/black/blue colorway (*Insert rage-face meme here*). More shots available for you below, so take a look and let us know what you think.

Nike Air Classic BW White Gold Gradient

Of the entire Nike Air Max running legacy, the Air Max 95 is easily the design most strongly associated with the use of gradients.  But here’s proof that Nike Sportswear can just as easily fade colors into one another on a different silhouette, this time on the classic Air Max IV.  Better known these days as the Nike Air Classic BW, this new edition strays from the classic ‘Persian Violet’ colorblocking template to employ an all-white leather base.  This choice seems genius paired with golden accents, including a novel approach to the Big Window’s frame that moves from white to gold across a silvery midpoint.  Click on through so you can see how this pristine BW looks from a variety of angles and grab yours from an NSW retailer like JD Sports.
