Nike Air Max 95 360

September 20th, 2011 by | 23 comments

nike air max 95 360 summary Nike Air Max 95 360

We’ve seen this before, haven’t we? Nike celebrated the ‘History Of Air’ in 2006 by not only re-releasing some of the major Air Max flagships in its original colors, but by re-invented a few classics by combining familiar upper designs with the state-of-the-art 360-degree Max Air unit. You might remember the Nike Air Max 95/360 in the original ‘Neon’ colorway, as well as the ‘DQM’ version and a few other funky colorways, but this latest rehashing of 95-meets-360 combines the newer, fully-uncaged full-length Max Air with what appears to be a seamless upper construction, as seen on the Air Max 95 No-Sew we showed you earlier today. These are set to release this Summer 2012 season with a $170 MSRP, so continue reading for a look at the five expected colorways and let us know what you think. via CK.

nike air max 24 7 upcoming colorways summer 2011 01 Nike Air Max 24/7 Upcoming Colorways

The Nike Air Max 24/7 is a few months away from only its first birthday, but what a year it’s had! We’ve seen a plethora of colorways release to the public, and judging by the promising sales numbers, the 24/7 has unraveled itself as one of the few “new” designs that have crossover appeal to both the general public and the harder-to-please sneakerhead cult. These two new colorways for the Summer 2011 season is just a sampling of the heavy-hitter colorways we should expect in the coming three-month span; arriving in April is the White/Team Orange-Dark Grey colorway, which features alternating panels of grey, orange, and white on the upper, and the Black/Bright Kiwi follows suit with the same alternating color-blocking (expect these in June). Check out the detailed images of both upcoming colorways below and let us know which of the two you like better.

Two original colorways of the Air Max 95 were transplanted onto the Air Max 24/7 earlier this year, and there’s no doubt that those were the most popular colorways. Another original colorway from the flagship ’95 year was this grey/orange colorway, and when Sneaker News offered a preview of this shoe back in April, the hype surrounding this hybrid shoe grew immensely. Just in time for the holiday season is the Orange Blaze colorway of the Air Max 24/7, and if you’ve been one of the many who have been fiending for this pair, find them at Nike Sportswear now or snag a pair from StepToRun on eBay.

Nike Air Max 24/7 – Neutral Grey – Glass Blue

September 24th, 2010 by | 16 comments

nike am247 grey glass blue 05 Nike Air Max 24/7 Neutral Grey Glass Blue

The two ‘OG’ colorways of the Nike Air Max 24/7 (Neons and the Chili Red-inspired pairs) were mega hits for the 24/7 so Air Max heads are patiently waiting for more color combinations following the original motif of the grey color gradient matched with a secondary color. Here’s a look at an October 2010 release of the Air Max 24/7, adopting the same color-blocking but with a vibrant Glass Blue; the eye-catching color takes over the candy-like Air unit and bottom sole as well as the lace-hoops and branding, but what’s different from this pair to the two OGs is the use of color on the 3M-strip along the mudguard as well as on the heel. Minor changes aside, this colorway is absolutely fiery – it’d even be a knockout on the Air Max 95 – so stick with Sneaker News for release updates and let us know what you think of the colorway. These will hit Nike Sportswear retailers like EastBay next month so check out the pics after the jump.

NBA Feet: Team USA Basketball Practice + Exhibition Game

July 26th, 2010 by | 15 comments

team usab nba feet exhibition game summary NBA Feet: Team USA Basketball Practice + Exhibition Game

Team USA Basketball continued its practice regiment as it looks to gear up for the 2010 FIBA World Championship. While FIBA isn’t on the level of the Olympics in terms of International popularity, Team USA does have something to prove. The red, white, and blue have left FIBA black and blue the last two outings, mustering up a disappointing Bronze in 2006 and an unacceptable 6th place in 2002. While the this year’s squad may lack the star power normally expected in Team USA rosters, the 2010 squad is certainly filled with great young talent and players brought up in the “team” concept.

On Saturday, Team USA was split into two squads and squared off in a exhibition game to give the fans a show and to fine-tune their games. Led by Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant, the white squad defeated the blue squad by a margin of 18 points. During the game were some of the usual kicks that Sneaker News already previewed; the Nike Hyperdunk 2010, Nike Hyperfuse, Nike Zoom Soldier III (Tyson Chandler’s go-to pair during the season), and Derrick Rose with his adidas D-Rose 1.5 came out to play, so check out the images from the Team USA Practice and Exhibition game after the jump and let us know what you think of USA’s chances of capturing gold this August. via NT/USAB.

Nike Air Max 24-7 GS – Metallic Silver – White – Rainbow

The ‘Silver Bullet’ Nike Air Max 97 is arguably the most popular colorway of that model, and lucky for us, that colorway is going to hit the Nike Air Max 24/7 in mens sizes. This new kids colorway features a lower-half of that model but in a tone leaning toward pink. Of course, the lace-holes features a color gradient of a fruity rainbow as well, so the comparison to the Silver Bullet stops, well, at Silver. Right about the silver panels is white patent leather, and of course the white mesh. This new Nike Air Max 24/7 GS just dropped at Finishline so don’t wait!

Nike Air Max 2011 – Black – Volt + White – Blue

nike air max 2011 first look 3 Nike Air Max 2011 Black Volt + White Blue

During the Nike Fall 2010 Basketball Showcase, emphasis was placed on the Nike Hyperfuse and the state-of-the-art “Fuse” material used to construct the upper. Fuse is an all-new one-piece material specifically engineered to give athletic shoes a lightweight advantage without compromising performance integrity. Essentially a stronger version of mesh, Fuse combines the breathability of mesh and the strength of an all-leather upper to give Fuse the ability to contain a foot while keeping it cool.

We’ve already seen Fuse on a basketball shoe and also a Trainer – the Nike Trainer Mid 1.2 Fuse – and now this first look at the Nike Air Max 2011 reveals use of Fuse on the upper as well. The Air Max 2009 and Air Max 2010 primarily featured Flywire and mesh-like materials on the upper but for the Air Max 2011, the third overall shoe with Full-length uncaged 360 Air Unit, Fuse has taken over the spotlight. For running, the two most important aspects of a great running shoe is breathability and lowered weight, and Fuse can offer just that. Combined with the 360-Air, the Nike Air Max 2011 Fuse could be Nike’s best Air Max running shoe to date. Continue reading for a better look at this upcoming shoe and let us know what Air Max shoe – 2009 vs. 2010 vs. 2011 – has the best overall design. via NT.
