Its two-toned stripe pattern led to some calling these ‘Seersucker’, but that name only hints at the style unveiled on this new Nike Air Max 90 for women. This pair is cast in more of a smooth canvas than the puckered cotton that typically defines those wider-than-pin stripes, so perhaps we should just take a hint from the superlative in its color code and just appreciate this one for its utterly unique style. Palest Purple and white stripes top a white/gum sole for a look that screams ‘spring’; can you picture yourself rocking these throughout the warm months now that they’ve dropped at Nike Sportswear retailers like Oneness?

Nike Air Max ‘What The Max’ Pack – Release Reminder

The words “What the…” are typically followed by a four-letter expletive, but in tomorrow’s case, that word will be anchored at three as the Nike Air Max ‘What The Max’ gets ready for a retail release at select Nike Sportswear retailers. These have already hit shops in Asia a few weeks back, so by now the buzz surrounding this trio is at the perfect height for you to cash in on because we haven’t seen a dedicated set of Air Max releases in such a dazzling rainbow of colorways. Air Max 90 Hyperfuse, 2012, or 95 360 – you can’t go wrong with any one of the three, but you will go wrong by sleeping on these for too long, so be sure to be at your local NSW shop like WEST NYC tomorrow (note: Nikestore has delayed its release to the near future but all other locations will release on schedule), or cop ‘em now on eBay.

This year’s flagship is a performance-oriented world-beater, the Air Max 1 is celebrating its 25th anniversary and plenty of more obscure classics have come out of the Nike Sportswear vault in recent months, but can any of those lines match the energy behind the Air Max 95 family right now? Not only are new colorways consistently hitting retailers, but we saw got both No-Sew and Hyperfuse-constructed pairs debut a short while back. The latter of those, Nike Air Max+ (95) 360 is such a perfect progression from the original that even hardened purists can find merit in the new gradients its synthetic upper makes possible. Nike Air Max ‘What The Max’ Pack – Release Date

Sneaker trends are cyclical and what’s definitely making a steady comeback is the uber-colorful Air Max runner. This Summer season, Nike Sportswear will meet the demand for brightly-colored kicks with the ‘What The Max’ Pack, which features a rainbow of tones in three of its latest and revamped Air Max classics – the Air Max 2012, Air Max 90 Hyperfuse, and Air Max 95 360 (also known as the Air Max 95 BB). Nike Air Max 90 GS – Midnight Navy – Soar – Denim

Back on Valentine’s Day, Sneaker News showed you the first of two tonal, canvas-covered Nike Air Max 90s that’d arrived at European retailers. Those have yet to arrive here in the States, but young sneakerheads will soon have their chance at something similar in the pair pictured above. This Air Max 90 for kids stops short of the all-over canvas look, instead applying it to the toe and ankle of a design that mixes in equal amounts of grainy leather and suede. The effect of this blend in conjunction with the Midnight Navy and Soar color palette is of a deep ocean dive, the kind of look you’ll find perfect for summer at Nike Sporstwear stockists like Mr. R. Nike Air Max ‘What The Max’ Collection

It’s common practice for a sneaker to go by two different names, and so the previously dubbed ‘Olympic’ Pack now has an official Nike-appointed name – the Nike Sportswear Air Max ‘What The Max’ Pack. The ‘What The-’ alludes to a hybrid of sorts like the Nike SB Dunk Low ‘What The Dunk’, but the ‘What The Max’ merely ties in bold neon colors in the layered Hyperfuse construction to give all three sneakers involved a chaotic (yet controlled) appeal. The entire Nike Air Max ‘What The Max’ Collection has already hit retailers in Japan, but stay tuned for a global release this month.
