Total Crimson is one of the more intriguing new Nike color introductions, a shade whose name would imply a bloody red that in actuality has an orange lean you’d expect more from a red in the cardinal range. In any case, this shade has serious vibrancy, and it most definitely stands as the focal point of this new Nike Air Max 90 Premium as placed on key signature elements. The latest Nike Air Max 90 GS colorway is all at once quite similar to and different from the original ‘Laser Pink’ ladies release that last retroed in 2010. Experienced sneakerheads will instantly notice the similarities in color and blocking, but this pair’s Prime Platinum upper is a clear change. That color along with Digital Pink and Hyper Blue are all colors too new to have appeared on the OG AM90s, but still manage to get across the energetic vibes from its era of origin. Sizes only run up to US 6Y, but those who can fit these will be very pleased about their purchase from shops like Titolo.

Well the good news is that the Nike Air Max “HomeTurf” Collection isn’t limited to the respective cities they were inspired by. The “Paris” Collection seen here might be the most unique of the bunch because it features three models that were given formidable upgrades in recent years, with the Air Classic BW, Air Max 1, and Air Max 90 getting reconstituted into the Air BW Gen II, Air Max 1 Fuse, and Air Max 90 Current – all of which featuring the special Paris-inspired lining. In regards to Nike Air Max classics, we’re constantly driven in by two things – colorways and materials. This new Nike Air Max 90 Premium hits both aspects right on the head, with an OG-style Grey/Black/Turquoise being built up by some nicer materials that quite honestly, should be the standard for Air Max 90 releases in general. That brings up the question – should Nike Sportswear re-release the OG colorways as part of a “Premium” Pack? It wouldn’t be right to create a City Series-style group of Nike Air Max models without giving a nod to London. Some of that city’s favorite styles are upgraded for their four sneaker set, of which most is on display here. Included are the Nike Air Max 1 Hyperfuse, the Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse, the Nike Air Max 95 Hyperfuse, and that hybrid model known as the Nike Air Max 1 2013 (Not pictured). What would happen if you left one of Nike’s many ‘Tiffany’ colorways out in the sun, or maybe in the back window of your car for a few months? Probably something close, at least in terms of colors, to this dope new Nike Air Max 90 Essential that pairs grey and pale green Fiberglass accents with a navy blue leather/mesh upper. From a distance, they echo that classic black/soft blue look that’s enjoyed a resurgence in recent months, but once you look closer, you realize this is a new palette that is perhaps good enough to spawn its own imitators. We’ve seen several unique ways of revealing new sneakers over the past few years. This latest stands out not by offering an endless string of teasers or crystal clear HD video, but rather, a playful hand drawn style. That’s what British illustrator Josh Parkin did in conjunction with Leeds’ The Chimp Store, coloring up a series of forthcoming Nike Sportswear styles with playful backdrops suggesting a story deeper than the silhouette. Used very sparingly since its 2009-10 peak, the Nike Air Max 90 Current returns as part of Nike Sportswear’s ‘Hometurf Collection‘. This new ‘Paris’ Air Max 90 Current (the only Current of the bunch) brings the Max-heel’d, Free-toed design back in a range of brown tones spread across the suede and mesh upper along with the new Dstnc Red (‘Distinct’ red?) shade on select accents. These have the same white/black striped sockliner common to all of the Paris Hometurf releases, and like the Air Max 2013s we showed you earlier, these will arrive at select NSW retailers this Saturday, March 30th, 2013.
