After Lance Armstrong’s sad departure from the sport of cycling, a dark cloud looms over Nike’s Livestrong capsule of footwear. While it’s not entirely clear if the Nike x Livestrong will continue holding its revered reputation considering the majority of consumers deem Livestrong synonymous with Lance’s name, this latest sample does show that the shoes are visually pleasing at the very least. Here’s a first look at the Nike Air Max 95 Dynamic Flywire in the “Livestrong” style; it features a a primarily blue upper with a neon green Flywire and Swoosh and a Livestrong label at the tongue. Is ‘Livestrong’ tainted for you, or is Lance’s history a non-factor for you? Check out the photos below and cop this sample now from loco_1979 on eBay.

That would be Engineered Mesh, a perforated, proprietary material that allows designers to zone out different sections of the sneaker that require more or less flexibility. The Nike Air Max 1, Nike Air Max 90, Nike Air Max 95, and the Nike Air Max 97 are all set to hit in January of 2013 in a group of OG colorways made futuristic by the EM designation. Continue reading for the high res shots of each and let us know if you approve.

With so many Air Max 95 colorways to have released in the last 17+ years, it’s like a fun game of “where have I seen that” whenever a new one pops up. This latest creation binds a few familiar ones, like a reverse gradient of the OG with one white panel short of re-creating the ‘Comet’, or even the ‘Lava’ colorway that came out a few years ago. What makes these stand out is the patent leather stripe at the very peak of the gradient and the snazzy red tongue, making for yet another must-have 95 release. These are available now at UK sneaker retailer giant JD Sports so check the gallery below.
