The name Matt Stevens should certainly ring a bell if you’re a loyalist of Nike’s original Air Max series. His Air Max 1 tributary book called the MAX100 Project displayed his personal favorite sneaker in one hundred different formats by his own interpretations. To celebrate to reinvention of Air Max and the debut of the new Engineered Mesh, Nike Sportswear teamed up with Matt to create #AIRMAX, which expands his already impressive Air Max 1 illustrations into the territory of the Air Max 90, 95, and 97, pinpointing the design inspiration, color, culture, and reinvention of each sneaker. Check out some of his artwork below and be sure to check on the #AIRMAX project on the Nike Sportswear Facebook Page.

The Nike Air Max line has long been a favorite out in Europe and the bubble bottom sneakers are a frequent sight on the streets of any given metropolis across the pond. Celebrating Europe’s embrace of Tinker’s innovation is the new Nike Air Max ‘Home Turf’ collection. The group consists of three separate collections paying tribute to London, Milan, and Paris, respectively. Included are a few OG silhouettes like the Nike Air Max 1 and the Nike Air Max 90, but the set is dominated by hybrid and newer styles such as the Nike Air Max 2013, which even sees its bubble borrowed in the brand new Nike Air Max 1 2013 and the Nike Air Max 97 2013. Continue reading to get a full look at the entire set, which launches at select NSW spots on February 15th, with a wider release scheduled for March 27th.

As we’ve seen with a selected variation on the Air Max 90 Hyperfuse, the Air Max 97′s Engineered Mesh upgrade can now be expected to show up with a simple ‘Premium’ designation on the box label. The latest release from what earlier we might have referred to as Nike Air Max 97 Premium EM is a ladies’ colorway that finds its Electric Yellow mudguard and the corresponding new blocking template made even more eye-catching to experienced sneakerheads who will instantly notice the Engineered Mesh and its presence in place of the lowest reflective loop. Have a closer look below and grab yours today straight from NikeStore.

Joining the first and newest Air Max running flagships in shouting out USA Track and Field is the Nike Sportswear staple whose original construction perhaps more than any of the other classic Max runners blends perfectly with Hyperfuse. So the Nike Air Max 97 2013 Quickstrike might require a second glance, its Classic Olive upper reading like a matted rendition of the classic ‘Silver Bullet’ OG from a distance. A closer look reveals a green lean as well as the brand new and more flexible than ever full-length Max Air cushion, while a bold varsity script identifies the pack and model at the heel. Let us know how these compare to the AM1 and ’13s after you’ve seen them up close below and stick with Sneaker News because they’re sure to arrive at select retailers in the near future.

The Nike Air Max 97 is set to suit up in the Engineered Mesh look this year, but that doesn’t mean that the Nike Air Max 97 Hyperfuse is suddenly going into retirement. Pictured here is a purple pair of the sneakers with a spcckled treatment hovering just above the bubble on bottom. The colorway, together with said speckles, has them looking rather close to the Nike Air Max 97 EM ’600K’ combo but there’s no word yet as to whether or not they’re officially related. Continue reading for a full view and check back with Sneaker News for the first word when this pair arrives in stores.d

There’s still some ways to go for the Air Max 97 to celebrate any major anniversary, but there’s still been some plenty of ’97 action over the last few years. Most recently, the running track-inspired design was given a minor makeover with the Air Max 97 2013 with the Hyperfuse upper and 2013 cushion, but some classic builds are still being produced, like this Black/Red/White that just hit Foot Locker Europe as an exclusive. Some additional angles are right below so take a look and head on over to their online shop to get yours.

Just as the New Year began, Sneaker News showed you a sick collection of Air Max footwear inspired by the 2013 Nike Running “USATF” Collection. Beyond the actual colorway and design of the shoe, the sneaker models involved all incorporated the build of the all-new Air Max+ 2013; there was, of course, the Air Max+ 2013, but also a funky Air Max 1 2013, which featured the 2013 cushion supporting an Air Max 1 Hyperfuse upper. Joining this incredible collection of footwear is the Nike Air Max 97 2013; an Air Max 97 with a Hyperfuse-built upper is joined by the Air Max+ 2013 outsole, offering up quite the fitting upgrade to the first “full-length” visible Max Air running shoe of Nike’s revered heritage. More of this sick release below, so take a look and stay tuned to Sneaker News for potential release info.

Nike’s new Engineered Mesh textile is ready to take over the Sportswear heritage of Running footwear as we get a first look at Nike Air Max EM ‘Sunrise Pack’ in its entirety. Inspired by an early-80′s set of the Nike Running called the ‘Flame’ Pack, which featured the Nike Omega, Mulyr, Metro, and Track Racer, the Sunrise Pack features the entire History Of Air line-up done in Engineered Mesh style. Concordantly, we also get a first look at the Air Classic BW, Air 180, and Air Max 2009 built in this style, so check out the gallery of images below and look out for these at Nike Sportswear retailers this Spring.
