So Tinker designs the Nike Air Max 1 and it subsequently releases in 1987, changing the way we look at running silhouettes forever. But do you remember what the second sneaker to release with visible air was after that famed shoe? It was 1988′s Nike Air Stability (or Nike Air Stab for short). The shoe featured two icicles dripping down to cover portions of the visible air, and unfortunately the popularity of the sneaker never caught on until the Swoosh brought it back in 2005. Now the Air Stab will be returning for 2015 after a long enough hiatus. This particular colorway is reminiscent of that Size? collaboration that dropped nearly five years ago. What do you think of the return? Stay tuned for more updates.

Robot Sneaker Sculptures by TransShoe Formers

Nike released packs of Transformers-themed sneakers around the release of Michael Bay’s first two films in 2007 and ’09, and while they were all exceptionally true to their inspirations, we doubt anyone in Beaverton expected things to get so literal in the wake of the third film’s DVD release.  These aren’t the exact same models used in the aforementioned TF movie collabos, but that doesn’t mean these chopped up kicks don’t look like they just made that distinctive morphing sound.  Models like the Air Jordan III ‘Pure’, Nike Air Stab and several others have been remade in robotic shapes that still preserve the shoes’ key lines so you can easily identify their natural form.  Click through to get a look at the whole run created by TransShoe Formers and let us know which ones are the good guys.
