With Nike well on their way to taking over the outfitting contracts for the NFL, you can expect the realm of Football related PE’s to get a lot deeper in the future. A quick taste of that was the Nike 2012 Pro Bowl Pack, a trio of trainers that didn’t find their way onto the field of Aloha Stadium but were quite a treat for the involved players nonetheless. With the Nike Trainer 1.3 Max Breathe, the Nike Free Trainer 5.0, and a slick colorway of the Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse all included, it was the kind of pack that likely would have been snapped up pretty quickly in the event of a retail release. And while that didn’t go down you still have a chance at grabbing a pair, as the full set is up for grabs on eBay now. Nike Air Classic BW ‘Chlorophyll’

The ‘Chlorophyll’ colorway of the original Nike Air Trainer 1 is one that is almost always welcomed by sneakerheads when ported onto other models. This time around we see it make the jump to the Nike Air Classic BW, with the green hits remaining pretty minimal showing up on the Air Max detailing on the heel and outsole. Heck even without the rich background of the colorway, this pair could stand on its own as a pretty versatile model thanks to the grey’d out upper. Nike Air Classic BW – Black – Deep Royal – Dark Grey

Grey tones have been working so well on their own these past few years, why don’t we try infusing a couple into one of the established classics, both in name in stature? These aren’t exactly the beloved Persian Violets that stand out as the Nike Air Classic BW‘s signature colorway, but they do take the same basic colors and pattern, and apply a couple greys through the Big Window’s sweeping elliptical arc. We haven’t yet seen Nike Sportswear create a BW/Air Max 95 mashup, so this is about as close as you’ll get to combining those two icons’ best-known looks; are you glad to see this change or would you be down for another round of Persians? They’re arriving now at European retailers like Burner, and you can see a few more angles after the jump.

Nike Sportswear Black History Month 2012 – Release Reminder

Nike’s motto for 2012′s Black History Month is ‘Uplift’ – a strong message highlighted by its brevity and stoicism. The signature graphic print and distinct colors seen on these four Nike Sportswear releases was developed by Nike designers, inspired by the International African culture and drawing visual cues from Kenyan beads, African-American quilt-making, and even the Brazilian Carnivale, and the entire capsule itself is a gesture of celebration of the achievements of three significant teams – the ’96 USA Womens Basketball team, the ’02 Brazil Mens Soccer team, and the ’08 Kenyan Long-Distance Running team. The NSW Black History Month collection will be available at select Nike Sportswear retailers; however, the release of the Air Max 1 has been postponed to a future date. Keep in mind that only the Air Force 1, Blazer, and Huarache Free 2012 will be available tomorrow!

Nike Air Max 1 ‘Black History Month’ – Release Postponed

Tomorrow is the official release date of the Nike Sportswear Black History Month 2012 Pack, which features the Air Max 1 as part of the select group. However, Nikestore just confirmed that the Air Max 1 will not release tomorrow, but instead at a future date that is to be determined. Keep this in mind if you had plans on copping the Air Max 1 tomorrow, and stay tuned to Sneaker News for updated information.

Nike Air Max 95 – Black – Volt – White | Available

The old addage “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” clearly applies to ongoing releases of beloved classic sneaker designs, and also in the case of an impeccable palette or blocking pattern. You’ve got a bunch of both with the new Nike Air Max 95 pictured above, a model that perhaps more than any other in history is singularly associated with one particular range of shades. And while this new drop doesn’t go for the OG ‘grey-dient’, they do manage to get a familiar neon punch on the tongue, laces and Air bubbles of this otherwise black ensemble. This is a pattern we saw on last month’s Obsidian and Action Red release, the recent WMNS joints in black and Siren Red, and one more coming up in March dipped in Stealth with Neptune Blue hits. With so much to choose from, will this pair be the one you choose to buy? If so, cop a pair now from Nikestore or footsoldier on eBay.

Nike Air Max Griffey Fury ‘Freshwater’ – Arriving @ Retailers

No matter how far removed a sneaker like the Nike Air Max Griffey Fury may be removed from the original string of Junior models, it still deserves to don the ‘freshwater’ colorway. We’d say it does a pretty good job of it at that, showing up with some minor tweaks from the sample version we previewed last year. In general the retail version lines up more with previous freshwater releases in the Griffey catalog, with the side Swoosh coming in white and a bit of red detailing outlining the 24 hit on the top end. This particular Nike Air Max Griffey Fury should show up at Nikestore later this month, but some spots like Millennium Shoes already have their pairs on deck.
