Following the graphical goodness of the ‘Fighter Jet’ pair, the Nike Air Foamposite One will return to the more straightforward colorblocking next up. That is, if you consider electro purple and total orange to be straightforward. Shown here is the upcoming Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Phoenix Suns’, a sneaker that is currently set to arrive at retail on March 2nd. The next Nike Air Foamposite One pair to get dressed up in a graphic print is very nearly here. Tomorrow will mark the release of the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Fighter Jet’, a sneaker that was originally predicted to be caught up in the 2013 NBA All-Star given the ‘Galaxy’ connection that went down last year. That’s not to be, as the pair will instead slide right onto retail shelves without any real story connected. And they’ll likely fly right off the shelves shortly thereafter, so check out the latest images of the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Fighter Jet’ releasing tomorrow, and then check out this pair up for grabs now from sneaker2014 on eBay.

Once the Air Penny line came to an end after the IV (well, a prolonged hiatus considering the V released in 2012), Hardaway was left wearing most of Nike Basketball’s high-performing yet understated line-up – the Flightposites, Zoom 2k3s, the Huaraches, and the Zoom Adrenaline. This Suns PE might not have ever been worn by Penny since he was traded to Knicks, but he did wear the Adrenaline in a ‘Knicks PE’. More NFL themed Nike Air Foamposite One customs have arrived from Sole Swap, ones done up to pay homage to the spectacle that was Super Bowl XLVII. The two sneakers included in the pack pick up on the Baltimore Ravens and the San Francisco 49ers colors respectively, each also bearing the ‘Sole Swap’ patch on the back end that has become the watermark of sorts for Jason Negron’s work. The Air Penny V makes its 2013 debut tomorrow with a release of two exciting colorways. The Royal Blue pair is a clear and present homage to the Memphis Tigers, where Penny honed his craft before heading to Orlando (by way of Golden State), while the ‘Total Crimson’ is just a spicy new take on this impressive model that has experienced great success since its debut. So who has been representing the Penny V the hardest in the NBA? Curiously enough, that distinction goes to Sixers Forward Thaddeus Young, who has been rotating both colorways at focus in-game. It’s always nice to see brand new designs like the Nike Air Penny V getting so much shine in a cultural so dominated by retros and re-issues. The sneakers have been such a success that Nike Sportswear has decided to keep them around for 2013, with this incognito colorway being next up. The strange yet successful signature sneaker after the fact that is the Nike Air Penny V is here to stay. 2013 has a couple of colorways coming, one of them being the Nike Air Penny V ‘Eggplant’ pictured here (or ‘Invisibility Cloak’ if you prefer). The pair had been previewed a handful of times back in 2012, but went quiet for a while and was almost deemed doomed in sample-purgatory.
