Jason Kidd made the quickest transition possible from NBA player to coach, as the surefire Hall of Famer rejoined the team he took to the NBA Finals in back to back seasons.  Going back a bit further into Kidd’s playing career, we see the first shoe he had while playing for the Phoenix Suns once again released in the AP market, as the Nike Zoom Uptempo V Premium hits the scene with a white, black, grey and pink colorway.  It’s a striking colorway without too many direct analogs in the Nike Basketball or Sportswear catalogs, so how do they compare to the various ‘Think Pink’ releases?  Let us know what you think and take a closer look at these after the jump because unless you have the right connections, that’s the closest you’re likely to be to seeing these in person.

The last sneaker released connected to Warner Bros’ iconic Looney Tunes was April’s ‘Bugs Bunny’ Air Jordan VIII Retro.  Here we see the tunneling troublemaker along with some of his most famous castmates emblazoned across the upper of the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star that’s been a popular choice even longer than the cartoon that debuted in 1930.  Bugs is joined by Wile E. Coyote, Taz and Tweety Bird just to name a few, and you can see the entire cast after the jump.  These are a part of the Converse Japan ‘US Originator’ series and probably won’t make it to retail here in the States, so check them out, then get with your overseas connects to secure a pair.

xlarge vans authentic tie dye XLARGE x Vans Authentic Tie Dye Checker Flag

Tie-dye and checkerboard patterns are iconic trends bookending the many forgettable fashions that have come to symbolize the 1970s. One represents ’60s peace and love, the other a ‘radical’ kind of 1980s rebellion, both synonymous with emerging youth subcultures.  So while they’re not from the same era or movement, it’s natural to combine both of these looks as one of the more successful Japanese streetwear labels has done here on their latest Off the Wall collabo.  The XLarge x Vans Authentic applies a tie-dye rainbow to the ‘white’ squares of the iconic Vans checkerboard, resulting in one of those styles that makes so much sense it’s hard to believe it hasn’t been done before.  Check them out in more images below and stick with Sneaker News to see if they head over our way after the Saturday, July 6th release in Japan.

nike zoom wildhorse Nike Zoom Wildhorse

Many of Nike’s footwear products take their name from the cushioning or other technologies in use. That’s true here on this latest likely AP-exclusive runner, a design that also marks the first use of a bold new name. The Nike Zoom Wildhorse has the beefy midsole and rugged sounding name you’d expect from a trail-ready runner. This sole and other structural elements account for the fact that these have the same MSRP as the Zoom Elite 6 but do not share the Elite’s Nike+ integration. Stick with Sneaker News to see if these ever arrive in the US and check out the bold duo of debut colorways after the jump below.
