With all the hype surrounding Michael Phelps’ ascension into the Olympic pantheon, some have questioned whether reigning World’s Fastest Man Usain Bolt could rack up a similar medals tally if he ran more different kinds of races. Bolt is untouchable on flat ground over relatively short distances, but similar praise could have been offered for triple crown-winning Chinese hurdler Liu ‘Fly Man’ Xiang at a point earlier this decade. Xiang was unable to defend his 110m gold in Beijing four years ago because of injury, but Nike hasn’t forgotten that about one of China’s greatest athletes is on the hunt to reclaim his crown. The Liu Xiang x Nike LunarGlide+ 4 suggests LX might have something extra left as he approaches another Olympic competition endangered by injury, the familiar China-red hits drawing your eye toward gold just like Liu. Click through to see more of this Liu Xiang LunarGlide 4 and find them now along with the ‘Dream Pack’ Cortez at select Nike Running retailers across China. via FRESHNESS

The key difference between adidas Originals ’80s’ and ’2′ variations on the classic Campus lowtop is the soles. The whole line having such a uniform vibe makes the newest style of the latter really stand out from the pack with a couple of key changes. Coincidentally, it’s the change to a leopard-spotted heel tab, which along with the elegant black/white colorway makes the ABC-Mart x adidas Originals Campus 2 stand in perfect step with 2012′s hottest trends. Two grey Stripes and a white one in between also helps these make their own mark, but will you be able to get a pair when they drop in Japan? via EK

Skating isn’t particularly a popular sport out in China, but games involving dice certainly are! Nike has put together a sick China Exclusive ensemble featuring the all-new Nike Paul Rodriguez VI in a cuboid shoe-box, which includes P-Rod’s recently released shoes as well as a set of “skate” dice. Vans has been quite active with both new and vintage patterned prints on a variety of classic silhouettes this summer, and here’s one that might be near the top of the list, though you’re unlikely to see them outside of an international vacation. The Vans Era pictured above is an exclusive colorway for DiverCity Tokyo Plaza, a gradient-blended quartet of vibrant colors whose association and striping vaguely suggest a macro Mexican blanket motif. A couple other pairs utilize similar templates for Tricolore and ‘bleached’ (think ‘Pushead 2′ color range) styles, so click through to see all three and let us know if these stand out enough to try your hand at importing. via Provider

Hirofumi Kiyonaga’s Uniform Experiment partnership with Hiroshi Fujiwara is a name that stands out compared to most US fashion concerns, but when viewed in the context of their latest effort, its most literal meaning suddenly makes total sense. The SOPH. and fragment design founders created this project to literally tinker with the concepts that make up participatory clothing, even going so far as to fabricate a fictitious football club in 1999 as a vehicle for their creations. FC Real Bristol reminds us that what we know about sports aesthetics is largely the result of continual reification, the ever so slightly ‘off’ typeface naming the ‘team’ on this new FCRB x Nike Solar Soft Sandal proof that starting with a different vantage point, established sporty aesthetics can lead you in an entirely different direction. The navy/neon and black/grey editions arrive exclusively at SOPH. locations throughout Japan as well as Isetan Shinjuku on June 23rd, so click through for more images and let us know if you’ll be importing a pair or two. via EC

A boldly colored Insta Pump Fury with just a hint of radioactivity implied — are we looking at the latest addition to the Marvel Comics x Reebok collection? Check them out in greater detail below and be ready when these arrive at AP retailers for fall 2012. via Kumastock
