The Onitsuka Tiger Colorado 85 continues to build momentum with the second new revelation in under a week. There are two new pairs this time, both of which rely on a deep navy blue nylon base layer and another blue shade on the suede overlay sections. The results are further apart than you might expect reading that, thanks to the lighter pair adding orange accents and the others going for a midnight dark navy contrast plus metallic silver branding. It looks like Ronnie Fieg is working on an Asics Gel Lyte III that will pay homage to his hometown with a distincly ‘Knicks’ colorway. You’ll remember that we got a quick sneak peek at these earlier in the year, with this new shot showing off the vibrant colors to a better degree. Is this Asics Gel Saga colorway a sly Michigan tribute? The lime green included might be a couple shades off from that school’s official maize tone, but it’s hard not to look at them and get a ‘Wolverines’ feel. The wait is over for the 2013 retro arrivals from the Asics camp. The Asics Gel Lyte III is of course in the mix, represented here via a crisp Easter-like colorway. The suede sections on the sneaker go for a stony grey, where the lining puts on pink and the toe box and side panels are linked together via blue bits of nylon. Scottish sneaker boutique Hanon’s flame logo has led to plenty of collaborations featuring vibrant colors. A notable example was 2011′s ‘Wildcat’ Asics Gel Lyte III, a torch-like combination of orange and red suedes whose spirit continues to smolder in the side stripes of this upcoming release. This upcoming design is something like an in-house answer to the aftermath, offering relatively earthier accents with an ashen counterpart on the midsole speckling.
